Well now that i know it's healthy, naturally i want more out of it.. but i think the real reason is that i have trouble leaving things alone. There's always room for improvement right?:anonymous:

Oh yea. I get that. I was trying to understand why the turbo is better.

FWIW, I don't think LCE is done with the 2TR-FE goodies.

They were making or made one, using @MrCrowntown 's engine. It was a CNC'd stainless piece. Extremely nice. Not sure about the final product though.

A cast stainless schedule pipe one, is what I have been wanting to fabricate for a while. Strong, and thick wall. Won't rust, and can support the weight without an additional support.

They made him an intake manifold, he's still searching for a turbo manifold. Unless they made him one and he decided to go with a different turbo afterwards? (Talked about that with him directly since I'm doing the same.)

From what ive seen, a turbo typically flows more air than a s/c but the real loser with a s/c is that it takes power to make power since its belt driven. Turbo uses spent exhaust gases so their adiabatic efficiency is much higher than you can get with a s/c

I reached out to AFE about their 2.7 cat_pipe ( part #47-46002) and they said it's made with 2-1/2" piping (compared to stock being 2-1/4" I think) which should give better flow and add a couple hp. @taco_tallua has one in the fs section (picture from his thread).

Stage 1 vs stage 2 idler for the URD sc kit. Figured out for the belt routing to line up best, the passenger side s/c idler shouldn't have a washer behind it and the driver side one should (two came with the kit)

destroyed the pulley removal tool i made trying to remove the old pulley. Guess aluminum wasnt the right material for the job. Tried using a strap wrench but the pulley keeps wanting to spin backwards. Someone cranked down this pulley bolt. Gonna have to locate a steel pulley removal tool

The intake came from a good friend of mine from Thailand. The 2tr is very popular out there!

LCE was working a manifold but at the time they hadn't fully accepted the 2tr as a new addition to their repertoire, so they didn't have time for it. The design was pretty trick at first! Need to hit them up about it again

2.5" is what I used when I built my friend's. That plus the header, combined with his URD kit, made very nice power.

Wonder if there is a line on some turbo manifolds from that country? Manufactured, not custom.

Choice. 2.5" is stock on the V6, and handles a good amount of HP.

    Choice of what exactly?
Would there be any sufficient gains if I put it on my NA 2TR?
