With all the above fun today, also looked at what kind of issues I was going to have with getting them fit up front and how much they hit the caliper bracket.

They hit...by a damn C**t hair, literally. I had just a rim on, all lugs finger tight as possible and it's...there is plenty of meat on the caliper bracket to grind off and clear.

Last worry is up front...steering and clearance, I expect to have to do a little modding, but not a ton. Have not looked into this aspect yet.

 

You gonna have to trim the fenders?

 

If I had to guess and hope, they'll fit with some plastic fender liner removal. 31's fit with cutting out a little section of plastic behind the wheel, aka "The Black box mod" amongst the 5 luggers. Guys have shoved 33s under their 5 luggers, but have had to bring out a hammer. Somewhere in the middle is what I'm shooting for.

 

Got around to fixing a stripped out bolt hole that holds down the front right bracket of the passenger FJ bucket. Been stripped out ever since I put the seats in, been listening to it squeak forever.

Tried awhile back to fix it but fucked up the heli-coil tap. Bought a whole new 10x1.25 kit yesterday and got it all fixed up. A nice quiet interior ride home for the first time since...ever...with the FJ seats.

 

Why not just leave the rims and tires on the back? I mean, you are only 2wd. You could look like a dragster. Haha

Here it is.

My totally custom, one of a kind (and will be the only one of it's kind, ever), Brute Force front tube bumper. Ships out tomorrow.

 

So nothing at the bottom? Looks like there will be more 2wd with armor at the next big meet than 4wd.

 

Naw. Wanted to keep it lower profile as well not horribly bulky. Will eventually add some lights to the bumper. Very stoked about the bumper, looks awesome. Even more thrilled to get all these parts on, truck will be absolutely killer...imo...
