First of all Big shoutout to the previous 4WD conversion pioneers who posted their builds and also put out lots of useful and helpful information and how they went about their builds. THANKS!!
i did the conversion over a course of 2.5 weeks, couple hours after work. about 30 hours of my time i estimate. My coworker welds so helped me out with the welding.
I bought most components from online junkyard, OEM Toyota and other parts from TW members here!
I kept the ADD and it has its own wiring harness and switch.
i have driven the truck 30 miles now and no vibrations or odd noises from any moving parts!
the 4WD drive system works and ADD works great!! i can feel the front end a bit heavier especially when turning but normal. Can't wait to go wheeling now!!

here is my break down of the cost to get this done.

Transmission( 13 Tacoma) & Transfercase (13 fj cruiser AT) - TW member $1600
Transmission mount Toyota OEM new $76
    Front differential (07 tacoma ) - Benzeenautoparts/ebay $374
    Front driveshaft (14 tacoma ) - okautoparts/ebay $148
Front CV axles Toyota OEM new $600
    ADD harness w/ switch $160
Front hub and bearings new from TW member $325
Rear driveshaft modified and rebuilt existing joints/cb $538
Metal stick for welding cross member from HomeDepot $20
Transfercase shift boot Spectre Performance 6285/Amazon $13
Differential needle bearing Toyota OEM $18
    Exhaust Pipe reroute $80
miscellaneous hardware, bolts, bushings, seals, transmission oil, gear oil $250

I bought some terminals per the repair manual and fitted them in their spots. 4H and 4L lights on the cluster work!

so this is what i ended up with today. this part really kicked my ass as it was trial and error. lots of times taking the lever off, cutting, welding and bending.
    0-C1-B443-F-2-C9-E-4-D77-9-A44-1-F86-A25_56f885d6f0d1400f85ec63f43fe8789be622d381.jpg

as you can see here the Transmission lever knob contacts the transfer case lever knob. enough resistance that makes it difficult to shift gears. i need to remove it again and fix this. anyone can chime in or opinion on how to make this work? TIA

Other than the shift levers needing to be fixed, upon removing and reinstalling the transfer case shift lever, the bushing in the the base has broken into couple pieces causing a sloppy/loose feeling from the lever in any direction. ordered a new one from Marlin crawler.
also the spring tension under the base plate is bent out of shape from going in and out too much lol. will be replacing that spring too. more pics to come!

I definitely like the idea of having a manual transfer case.. I absolutely hate the goddamn electronic button/dial. One of the stupidest designs ever. There is nothing that beats the feeling of grabbing a stick and shifting it into 4 wheel drive when necessary. Having to stop put it neutral wait several seconds for the damn 4 wheel drive to kick in is stupid and pointless. Putting it back into 2 wheel drive and having to do the same thing again really stupid.

Got the pleather boot installed. Still rubs a but bit thats it. Ill take it. Shit was a pain in the ass. I gotta give it to you guys who did ALL this on the ground and driveway.

i bought the boot on ebay from stvcustoms. $25
this is how i installed the boot to the plastic tray.
i drilled holes along the sides and also drilled the same holes in the pleather. then zip tied it together. close enough so that it looks seamless from the top/outside.
applied some toyota fipg rtv sealant to the connecting seams to hold it together.
