2wd in Daytona Beach Sand

Looking for convenient parking. I’m 2wd. Am I good on the Daytona Sand? Fresh Cooper Adventurer AT 265/75/16. 40psi.

 

You should have no problems driving the bch at lower tides. As tide pushes in you will have to drive higher up the bch closer to the dunes and that is when most 2wd cars and trks have issues. Bch patrol wont even let you on the bch at the highest part of tide. If ya do get stuck should be fairly easy to get someone to help. I have helped quite a few people out over the yrs.

 

10-15 psi in the sand...

Have an extra supply of beer on hand to encourage help if you get stuck.

 

I watched a guy in a newer Chevy malibu (front wheel drive) sit at the entry point to the beach, then finally pull forward and immediately get stuck in the sand. It was perfect timing, as a gaggle of girls in bikinis were passing by. He flagged them to put their hands on the hood and push the car backwards.

It almost seemed as if he waited to time his distress. He had a great view from the driver’s seat.
