I have noticed while installing my fog lights the pop outs where the switches go for towing package and the rear locker they are prewired behind the blanks. i know this truck didn't come with those options but does anyone know why they are prewired.

They have some of the wiring as it's cheaper for the factory to install the wiring and just not put the switches and a few other lil components than to run a different line that doesn't install those parts.

You could in thoery find out what parts you need and install those options to your truck. (It's normally pretty expensive tho.)
