I’m not all that interested in dealing with their customer service considering what I’ve seen people having to deal with. And their descriptions are confusing and I’ve sent them tons of emails trying to ensure I order the proper rotor pack and I hear nothing back(it’s worth adding that it seems the HSL product is just fine and rebuilt well and those who receive them are at least happy with the results)

I would be more interested In a new rotor pack if possible but it doesn’t seem that anyone supplies new rotor packs. I emailed superchargers online to see if I could buy a new rotor pack from them I’m just waiting on a response.
And from my understanding Jon bond wants to have me send in the whole supercharger and won’t sell just a rotor pack(if I’m misunderstanding their process please correct me but I’d rather not ship my whole supercharger) I’m also waiting for email response from them, I’m sure both will get back to me tomorrow.

Also part of the problem I’m having with HSL is exactly what you sent me. That is the price option to have your own rotor pack rebuilt. I want to buy one and refund a core charge, but i never can seem to find the option for that, always the one without the core charge. Which even though the title says *core, the description says does not include core charge, which means sending in mine. I’m not doing that with HSL. Maybe I’m just bad at surfing eBay, but if you can find the M62 gen3 rotor pack with the core charge I might just buy that.

I spent the afternoon reading this entire thread. I’m about to pull the trigger and buy a new s/c from URD along with their 7th injector kit. My plan would to run this with the stock pulley. Based on what I read, I should also get the following:

• New intake gasket
• Gates s/c belt
• Clean fuel injectors
• AFR gauge
• Scantool
• Upgraded fuel pump

The last one kills me consuderibg I just had the bed off the truck GT the past month or so and replaced the fuel tank, vapor canister, LSPV, crossmember and brake lines. I should’ve replaced the pump then.

I also have brand new set of NGK wires that I’ll put on with the s/c. Is there anything else I need?

My truck is a 2003 v6/auto with about 125000 miles on it.

The URD 7th injector kit comes with a new fuel pump, a Walboro 190... I've been running it for almost 4 years with my kit. Just be forewarned, it's a very noisy fuel pump

 

URD kit also comes with 2 step cooler spark plugs

 

Just a heads up, I’ve been waiting 2 months now for the supercharger I ordered from URD and still don’t have an expected ship date.

 

I didn't replace my pump. It had 40K on new pump before installing supercharger. I just replaced fuel filter.
You'll need the colder sparkplugs. Boost gauge, the PSB-1 for Innovate is the best one to go with. It has boost and AFR in one gauge.

Stock fuel pump is ok for stock supercharger setup, but it's recommended to go bigger if you do the 7th injector

 

There's a few guys I know that ran the 7th injector with 2.2/2.1 and is too lazy to install the fuel pump. AFR is fine. It's recommended but I wouldn't say it's required.

 

If I were to do it again I'd ditch the Walboro and get an Aeromotive fuel pump, damn Walboro whines like crazy when it gets hot. They claim it's normal characteristic of it's mechanical design but it's annoying. Any other pump sounded like that you'd think it was dying lol.

 

Luck of the draw I guess. Mine and a buddy I know is quiet, I can't say the same to the other 3 guys tho. Whine like their GF, lol. But nothing a little radio can't overpower.

 

Thanks everyone. I'll add the missing components to the 'list'. It seems like this is a relatively straightforward install that I can do in my garage, correct? I would have my buddy who own a speedshop weld in the bung in the after-cat portion of exhaust, but other than that it seemed like if you take your time, this shouldn't be too difficult an installation.

As far as the Trans-Go kit, would it make sense to do this at the same time?

My buddy has a speed shop (that I will have do the job if it's not as straightforward as it seems) and he has a contact with a Magnusson distributor and can get me the s/c alone for about $300 less than URD sells it, but if I buy the s/c and the 7th injector package from URD. the pricing comes out about the same. The Magnusson guy told him it was a minimum of a 6-week lead time. I emailed URD about availability, but have heard nothing back.

 

Shortman - is that another part I need for the install?
