    I would just get a urd pulley 2.1 and get the back spacer washer just in case you need it.

    You can always go to the 2 inch pulley later since they only cost a hundred bucks after you're happy to make sure everything is working okay.

    The two inch pulley you might have to change out your nose seal to accept the higher RPMs I'm not sure on that supercharger that's why I'm saying just run with a 2.1 pulley for now.

    The upgraded nose seal can take higher temperatures and higher RPMs then the stock one that comes with a supercharger

    Did they install a Gates supercharger belt?

    The gates supercharger belt can withstand the extra RPMs and the extra heat the stock one can't.

    The gates supercharger belt will last you 75000 miles or so the generic supercharger belt will last you maybe 30,000 40,000 miles depending on how hard you run your truck and what size pulley

    I do see an option from The High Speed Lab: "Supercharger Double-Lip Seal Needle Bearing Upgrade Installation Service" [link]
    …ideal for High Performance, Methanol or Water Injection systems.

    I was thinking the same thing. My thoughts were that I wanted the truck to run cooler and cleaner. I wanted to steam clean the engine and not have to worry about carbon buildup. That's what I was trying to accomplish with the methanol injection. It seems to correlate with how clean your truck is. It was more of a preventative type move for now. What do you think? Thanks,

    Also the pickup and torque is really awesome. I don't get tailgated and I could go in whatever gear at any time. It's really nice.

    Without increasing the boost, the meth will make the engine too rich since it runs in Closed Loop most of the time. Not sure how much you'll be able to spray (if any) with the stock pulley.

    I could be wrong but I thought that methanol was even used on N/A applications strictly for it's cooling/cleaning properties, and you can adjust it to only spray when under a certain amount of boost?

    If it can be 'tuned' so-to-speak so that it only sprays during WOT or open loop then it could be beneficial even with a stock supercharger setup, I would think. Again I'm really only speculating so I could be wrong in that assumption

    If your truck is not running lean then you probably do not want to add methonal with the stock pulley.
    But you could run distilled water instead if you wanted too and you can set your spray points but winter is almost here and that would would mean freezing. For summer this would work.

    My opinion if your adding methonal kit is to add the 2.1 pulley, you won’t regret it.

    If your not going to a smaller pulley I don’t know if I would add the meth kit and cost.

    If your on the fence about getting a smaller pulley I would wait on installing the methonal kit.

    Or you could go with the more conservative 2.2 pulley and not necessarily need meth kit But might have a little pinging.

    The 2.1 pulley will give you probably 40 more horses or so, your boost should go up to 8 pounds or so instead of 4 pounds. This is an estimate number as each truck is a little different.

    I’ve have had all these pulleys at one time and each pulley upgrade is a very noticeable difference.

    The methonal will definitely eliminate heat soaked issues that come with the supercharger but that’s not an issue in winter and will clean your engine of carbon,

    No, I have a 2" pulley that will give you 10 pounds of boost at 6000 feet.

    But if you decide on a 2" pulley I would suggest getting the high performance nose seal that is rated at a higher rpms and higher temperature rating than your stock nose seal.

    I mean if you have it might as well install it, unless it will hurt the truck in some way (such as running too rich)....but I feel like that might not be the case, methanol does two things - cools the intake and increases the octane rating...neither of which are going to make you run too rich, it's not like you're adding more fuel (like you would be with the 7th injector), you're just upping your octane rating. Unless I'm mistaken...I just don't see how it would hurt anything

    i did some more reading... water/meth blend injection which I think all of us are talking about mainly reduces the air temps from the supercharger compressing it. Also, the blend reduces the risk of early detonation. For this discussion of NO ECU tuning, it mainly will help when increasing boost with the smaller pulley.

    The more I read, the more I want to get the 7th injector piggyback ECU in order to control the timing, fuel AND the meth spray based on MAP (it taps into the boost port and has an internal MAP sensor). Can load in 3D tables based on multiple values and really take advantage of the setup without adding the 7th injector itself and spraying more gasoline.
