That's because you're going into open loop, your AFR will drop in open loop with or without the 7th injector.

The 7th adds more fuel to enrichen your AFRs even more so you don't ping when going into open loop. But it doesn't start until you really get on the throttle. I really don't think it adds any fuel at all for most daily driving unless you're rallying around the place.

That's why a lot of people tune it to start spraying earlier, a lot of folks don't like how conservative it is out of the box

I’ll watch the gage to see if the loop is open. So far it only shows it when decelerating. Wish I had, had the gage before for comparison

That makes sense. I don’t get into it that much so I’m probably worried about nothing

You can set the point it starts enrich the mixture. It’s a set AFR around 13.3-13.5 AFR. Out of the box it starts at 3psi. You can set it lower or higher. Ive set mine for 1PSI

And like @eon_blue said it won’t go any lower until open loop. Even if you dump fuel through the 7th injector in closed loop the ECU will trim it out.

You could be closed loop 3000-3500RPM 8psi and still at 13.5 AFR. This is the downfall to the 7th. You cannot make it go any richer under in closed loop and ramp down to 11.8 WOT open loop

Don’t bother trying to save fuel. Especially by bypassing the safety features you spent $900 on. Not even remotely worth it.

Yes it was a rollover. No way it could be salvaged. Frame is rotted. Will be posting in the for sale section as a partout once I hit 50 posts.

Can we get a pic of the full truck and the interior. and what year model is it? Also... i'd like to call dibs on the e-locker actuator if it has one... once you post it officially, of course

Of course! Sadly no elocker. It's a 2000 Xtra Cab that took a slight hit front driver and rolled after. Still runs and drives and is a 4x4. 140k on the clock but will have to double check that when I get a charger on it. Will get a full set of pictures uploaded when I can post in the marketplace.

    It’s a 1998 Tacoma.

The 4runner I have is just literally a bare Frame.

That one in the photo looks to be a custom job. But there is a company I can’t remember f the top of my head that makes a fibreglass hood with a scoop

@1997tacomav6 has a writeup somewhere on here about the functional hood scoop he did for his truck on his stock hood, looks really clean.

I think the 00 and older trucks can just use a 4runner hood. But I may be wrong

DansHoods. However I believe that louvers in the correct spot do more for cooling than a scoop.
