anyone know where i can get a throttle cable bracket (auto trans) for the 1st gen SC and the dipstick relocation bracket (or another method for relocating the dipstick)? I saw a kit on URD but it doesn't have the dipstick relocation and no way i am going to pay $153 when i need one small bracket.

Did you run the forged crank and the cams off of the 3vz-fe? thought that was you talking about that for more top end and the higher rev range.

Too many trucks and mods to list.. check builds
The forged crank is in my new motor for the 01. The cams are in a partially assembled spare motor I’m just waiting on time to put it fully together. Further inspection shows they likely won’t add much. The valves just open a hair sooner

The 4runner hood will not work because the 4runner fenders are different,

I cut the 4runner scoop out and cut it into my stock hood and cut the scoop open to let air flow over the supercharger

Not doubting heat escapes at idle and slow speed but Have you ever done the string method at speed to see how well that air is exchanged?

never did the string method but at top speed it used to be really squirrelly from all the air coming in the grill and lifting the hood. it now drives really smooth and stable up to the speed limiter. heat rises and sits under the hood so its gotta be exchanging it

The hood scoop actually forces air over the top of the supercharger where it is the hottest, while vents will definitely help the air is not being forced onto or over the supercharger, the hottest area is actually the snout location,
At what ever speed your at 25 or 75 you have that much air being pushed over the top of the supercharger that is usually around 150-200 degrees

I wish someone would figure out how to hook up a little electric oil pump to our superchargers so we can run an oil cooler. would probably make the bearings last twice as long in the nose cone. I run a sandwich plate before my oilfilter to a Hayden 1040 heavy duty oil cooler which is made for big V8's. my oil never looks dirty even up to 8-10k miles

hood scoop sounds like it works great, but what I am sure of is that the methanol you spray through it does the most to pull heat out of the aluminum.

Yes, That’s ONLY when it’s sprays under boost and there is maybe a 10 -15 degrees increase under 10 pounds of boost,

    Either option will help

you dont run your 7th anymore do you? I still havn't had time to install my snow kit I bought.. I want to set mine so my 7th injector still runs up to like 6 psi then the methanol would come on. so I can drive normally outside of hard boost if I run out of boost juice.. My truck is finally working great again now that I replaced the whole throttlebody because of the tps problem It had.

Never ran a 7th injector system, you want the methonal coming on earlier for cooling in the summer, each pound of boost is 10 degrees added,
Just methonal with 13 pounds of boost when conditions are favorable

ya on my nevada trip we were up around 5k ft elevation in the high desert.110+ degrees each day. i cooled my charger and headers to change my alternator and it melted an 8 pound bag of ice in minutes and the water was boiling on it. way too hot.. I hated pushing it like that out in the110+ heat. I have the 2" pulley running around 94/95 octane so im not far off the boost you make. I needed that methanol.
