    Well we meet up and he took my truck for a drive.

    I think he’s definitely sold on how a 600,000 mile supercharger can transform the 3.4 motor. :)
    Nice meeting up with you and let me know when it’s installed.

    Remember to make sure you use a gates supercharger belt when you install it.

    The others will not last including the Toyota belt.

    Hey John is it true that they sort of "overbuilt" this 3.4's internals to accept a SC? I always wanted confirmation on this point and figured you're the guy who knows these things.

    If he's just putting the supercharger on and running it stock then he might not need anything if he's lucky. But if he has a ping happy engine like some of us do then fuel mods/upgrades are a must. Really just depends on his setup and engine.

    I will say though to avoid the Walboro 190lph pump that URD sells and includes with the 7th injector...it whines like a stuck pig.

    If you’re going to run the 7th injector alone that’s ample enough delivery for fuel to avoid ping.

    The 7th injector kit comes with a new higher flow fuel pump as part of the kit. Higher flow is needed with that kit from the added fuel demand from the additional injector

    As far as the fuel pump, I might be able to get away without upgrading. I’m using the stock pulley at 6k feet above sea level. As far as my truck, it drives right and it’s been taken care of. Like, I have a new frame on it with stickers and bar codes like the new trucks.

    So, it’s gonna be installed at Smooth Ride In Northglenn. Tom over there worked at Stevinson Toyota West for a long long time. He’s put em on and fixed S/Cs and engines. He’s saying it will be fine. I’m swapping the fuel filter as added insurance. We’ll see what happens.

    Get yourself a boost and AFR gauge to go along with the supercharger, AFR is especially important to monitor and you need an aftermarket wideband gauge to read it properly. Will let you know if you're running too lean or too rich, and these engines love to run lean when boosted. Too lean will kill the engine in no time

    Boost gauge you can pretty much go with anything you like the look of, they're pretty basic and can range in price pretty wildly.

    AFR gauges are a little more expensive, I got mine (AEM brand) off Amazon for around $170 if I remember right. Comes with everything you need, O2 sensor, metal bung to weld to the exhaust, wiring and gauge.

    I have one of the original TRD boost gauges but unfortunately they aren't available anymore through Toyota, and hard to find used (usually pretty expensive too). I think Speedhut can custom make a TRD replica boost gauge though
