3.4L takes 11 pounds of boost with methanol injection. I drove it and sat in it. Something must have went wrong to throw a rod. It sucks.

Are you guys running 3” diameter exhaust pipe at the cat? I gotta replace mine. I can see daylight in my muffler.

11 pounds will not kill the engine tho, unless it was too lean,
Too many rpms will quickly do that

That’s what i saw with your truck and you went up to just before the red with the RPMs. Sick speed. And with the intake and exhaust, you can talk on the phone in the cab, which I still don’t know how.

House of mufflers and brakes in Denver did a custom cat for my truck 20 years ago and it’s still running perfectly.
Same muffler and exhaust, if I remember it’s 2 3/4” or 3” with flowmaster, With lifetime stainless tip.

The exhaust has probably 500k plus on it and not a single issue.
Nice rumble at idle and feathers away with added rpms

Slapped on a quiet magnaflow muffler and chrome tip and called it. It sounds good. A tiny bit deeper than stock. But I’m running Goodyear Duratracs that are loud. So I can’t tell the difference between stock/with hole and the new muffler and the S/C. I did listen to the FM delta 50 series and if I was 17, I would have loved it.

Hit 6.7 PSI today. Haha here’s a photo of the exhaust. Pretty much a second gen tip welded on 3” pipe. 3CFF1337-A2F0-49ED-ACF1-99114AB89755.jpg

To tell you the truth if u guys ain’t bouncing off the redline and spinning the tires and doing donuts then motor will last a long time but that’s no fun if u guys are not , wasn’t leaning out or anything every motor will blow just time and what u do with it , the motor has 190k and 40k of boost and it’s been fun , I pulled the pan off the bad motor and one of the rod cap gave out and the screw snapped and went through the oil pan so it’s gone but hopefully the heads are good and gonna see if I can build a extra motor with my other bad one with a crack head,

ok. I understand. I think for most on here, it’s a daily driver/An almost classic status hot rod truxk. The 1st gen is becoming rarer and rarer.

I got rid of my 2018 Tacoma 4x4 and I’m trying to have a little fun with the 01. So, it’s got to be a reliable and get me to work. Don’t get me wrong, I open it up and take it to almost redline. I drove with John and trust me, he’s got a lead foot and opened it up to just about redline too.

Won, those lights on the roof of your truck, what’s the make and model. They are pretty sweet. I love on a road with all kinds of deer popping out. It would be nice to light it up.

They're Cree LEDs, got them on ebay for pretty cheap. They work well but they do have a negative effect on gas mileage mounted like this to the roof. I'll probably relocate them to the front bumper whenever I finally get one
