New SPCs are pricey since they switched to forged arms. I have the last revision of them with the tubular arms that I picked up for around $420 new. I think now SPCs go for around $650

You can get the older design ones through Mevotech for less $$. Really just depends on which design you want I guess

The much older SPCs from 4+ years ago had issues with the bushings in the arms causing them to break, but those aren't an issue anymore.

I'm going all in as the accident with the 2018 is paying out and I rep
Hi, I had it done at Toyteclifts. It’s where Toyota and other lift shops send their alignment work. It’s the only place I go as we are lucky to be local. Having said that, they charge me actual time. I would call Mike over there. I had other work done there at the time the U As were done so it all added together. I imagine around $450 with alignment.

Total price around $1100. But worth it. The truck handles better.

By the way, I spoke to my mechanic. He's saying they used to slap on these S/Cs at the Toyota Dealer and everyone at least in Colorado drove out without AFR gauge or anything else. At least out at this altitude, that worked. He just recommended premium fuel. LOL. I do have the belt and AFR and methanol kit coming just in case it's needed. But I would rather run it stock with the S/C to see what happens. If it does well... like I don't blow it up, I can put the rest of the stuff on and go from there. I have put 14k miles on this "new to me" truck and like to go slow and build up. By the way, that belt is a serpentine belt or does it go on the S/C? Thanks,

Like I said you will not have any fuel issues with the stock pulley at 6000 feet.

Yes the belt goes around the supercharger pulley and the alternator and the crack and the supercharger belt tensioner

I’ve got 60,000 plus miles on the methonal kit with no issues except for the nozzle getting plugged.
A new 30.00 nozzle is an easy fix or cleaning it out.

Older SPC arms had a design where the arms would crack, something to do with the bushings I don't remember exactly why. That issue was resolved by SPC years ago though

I'd love to hear the price of the install. I don't have my own garage and if someone charges a reasonable price I may just have them do it so I can spend more time working/mountain biking/skiing/etc.

What temp gauge are you going with? I wonder if there is a way to tap into the existing temperature gauge that is already in the trans.
If you have part numbers for the TransGo that'd be awesome as well. I'm adding all this info to my spreadsheet as I plan out my supercharger upgrades.

So... if I drive mostly on road trips where I'm going between 2,000 feet and 10,000 feet. Sometimes I'll even be down at sea level when I go to Death Valley / Baja... Would a phased install work for me? (Phased being, only supercharger with stock pulley at first while I figure out more with tuning - piggyback ECU/7th/Meth)

Not bad... Is that for just the base supercharger? No 7th injector, no fuel pump, no ...
Essentially this base install is to remove stock plenum, replace with supercharger, route some cables/hoses, trim some plastic and install the belt.

If that install price is for additional work (AFR sensor, 7th injector, meth, etc), I am very intrigued.

Yes the stock pulley will work safely to cover that range. At sea level if you have a ping happy motor you
will just have to not redline the motor or lug the motor and you will be fine.

Your boost will be much higher with more power at sea level and less boost less power at 10,000 feet.

A supercharger installation is not that hard to do and probably 4 hours max for the first timer trying
    to figure where everything goes.

@Rldanie just did his own installation a few months ago

    Yes, the belts are gooved,

These pulleys are good, but the boost it shows is for sea level and u and myself are are 6000 or so.

I have a 2” pulley, boost maxed is at 10 pounds while the website says 13.5 pounds.

Once you know the route you can take the supercharger off in 45 minutes and install it back on in 1 and half hours or so just for the supercharger, no 7th injection here
