Anyways you would be fine with the stock pulley anyways and would not be a problem, just can’t redline or lug it at sea level because you will have higher boost there

Just the basic S/C install. Mechanic gotta look at the methanol kit and AFR.

John the install is Wednesday. I’ll shoot you a PM if he has questions. I can’t see running a stock pulley with meth. Is it gonna be too rich or adjust?

 

No need for it, correct, but when you decide on the gauge and methonal he can look at my setup for direction 4 u when you get a smaller pulley.

 

Doing the AFR you have. I noticed yours has a door pillar piece matching your door pillar. Is that something you put together or are they available to buy?

They make two types for the 1st gen

One type for early tacoma pillar like mine.

One type of later 1st gen pillars

Your pillar I believe is a little different than mine being that your might be the later of the 2


I also have a green light in the pod when the methanol is spraying and

A windshield low level light in the pod because my truck didn't come with one

 

Don’t forget you need Denso 5310 IK22 Iridium Power Plug,
Cooler plugs will help reduce ping issues with the supercharger.
These are one step cooler plugs, a must have item.

I probably would pickup a new intake gasket just because it’s probably original and that’s almost 20 years old now. I don’t think it comes with one in the kit.

No oil additives, nope.
You might have to buy the plugs on line and get an OEM gasket.
They should be pre gapped.

Your at 145k, did you get your ball joints done?

They should be done around 100k - 150k to be safe.

I just ordered some for my truck yesterday.

I do them every 100,000 to be safe

It states that it does include "Gasket, 3.4 S/C" for "Between Factory Throttle Body and Supercharger"

 

Yea, I was talking about the gasket between the supercharger and the engine on the intake.

But that’s a good point I forgot to mention, the stock throttlebody gasket actually is shaped like a big D, you don’t want that one, if that’s with the kit you want the one that’s totally round that URD sells.

I don’t know what shape gasket comes with this kit.

Or you can cut it out round.

The stock gasket actually blocks the air.

I would think it comes with the round one tho.

 

The supercharger kit should come with the right gasket (the O shaped one), I ordered an O shaped one when I was taking my throttle body apart to clean it thinking maybe the PO put the wrong one in with the supercharger, but to my surprise there was already an O shaped one in there.

I got the thicker density one from LCEngineering though that's supposed to withstand heat better and installed that one when I cleaned my throttle body.

Step 24 states (of the gasket you mention between the Supercharger and lower mainfold

Inspect the gasket. If it is in good shape, reuse it; if not, replace it with a new one (Toyota part # 17176‐ 62040).​

They also state:

The gasket between the surge tank and the manifold (figure 15) is intercangable for use as the supercharger’s intake manifold gasket (see section B‐2).​

 

Supposed to come with the correct, round one.

 

Yup it is, just better to put a new one in because his is 20 years old,
If you get a vacuum leak there supercharger will run like crap, and you'd have to take the whole supercharger off again, I replace head gasket every time I take my supercharger off just for insurance, those bolts holding it on I only like 15 lb or 18 pounds of torque or something like that

 

Yes. I did my ball joints along with every bushing made by energy suspension about 1000 miles ago. Handles like a champ.

 

So the kit I got comes with injectors and fuel pump. I just realized this LOL.
