    Quick question. Does anybody know the cheapest place to buy the bypass valve for the black body? I found it on LCE performance for $130 but wondering if any of you knew of a site selling em cheaper. Thanks.

    Hah, not likely, but good luck! Mine is waiting for the original sc to be redone, as soon as i get $1000 to play with :notsure:. Still don't even know if it can be rebuilt too.

    Aluminum conducts the same heat that steel does, but you said it, it dissipates heat quicker than steel while retaining it's strength integrity. For @eon_blue that is a big deal when you are talking about belt life affected due to heat cycle wear over time. The hotter the belt gets the more the rubber can fray, the sooner the belt wears out. So the faster that pulley can dissipate heat the better for the equally just as hot belt sitting on the surface of those ribs and touching those pulley walls.

    That, and as long as the pulley is made of billet (which all of them produced out of aluminum are at this point) the pulley is substantially stronger than a steel unit, not that strength is a huge issue here, but it's nice to know the chances of pulley damage occurring due to whatever reason is less than if you had a full steel unit.

    One final thought is that the lighter weight of aluminum over the steel units is not much, yes I agree, but when you are thinking about rotational masses and the forces it takes to spin a heavier pulley over a lighter one, you will find it is much easier to change RPMs despite what you or I would see and consider trivial weight differences.

    At least, that seems to be the collective agreeance behind lighter weight pulleys.

    Don't need any parts, it just got put on from the dealer and I'm not sure if it ever got rebuilt, hence my questioning feelings toward if it can be fixed. I took it off as soon as i realized it was not making boost, a couple days after I bought it. The entire assembly is in a cardboard box in my closet waiting for me to send it somewhere, I'm not sure where, was most likely going to use highspeed lab but I want to know if they're reputable, I know magnuson fell apart on these.

    Yup, Wade has rebuilt mine 3 times and ported my supercharger.

    He’s definitely the guy and get the upgrade double sealed bearing too

    Have you ever heard of the seals going, I have a reputable friend tell me this and I believe he means between the rotors and casing but I have not come across this anywhere on tw.

    How long was the rebuild process when you sent it out?

    I'm coming up on 90k on my supercharger and just trying to get an idea what kind of down time I'm looking at if I send it out. Debating if I should just rebuild the nose cone myself or send out the entire thing for a rebuild and once over

    Interesting, at least i know it didn't make boost and needs a rebuild. Is the dynamic tensioner worth the 100, does it really make that much of a difference?

    It was like 2 weeks down time, you probably can do an exchange on the nose cone with him for zero down time

    For a complete rebuild ALL seals and bearings double lipped and stripping the old rotors coating off and new coating thermal will be 900-1000
