    I would think there has to be a stop screw somewhere for the idle but not sure on your year

    holy crap, that guy said his truck was idling at 4k RPMs after cleaning his TB haha...I'd shit a brick if that was happening to my truck!

    Good info though, it seems like cleaning the throttle body on these trucks can be a bit of a risk if they've been dirty a long time. I just got back from driving my truck around some more, the idle is settling at about 900 RPM now instead of the 1200 or so that it was doing, so it's still a bit high but seems to be slowly going back to normal. I think cleaning out all the gunk resulted in a slightly different air flow reading than the ECU was used to so it's readjusting itself...hopefully. If it's not getting better tomorrow I'll disconnect the battery to reset the ECU and see if that helps, but I think I'm in the clear. Thanks for the help!

    My throttle body actually had a worn spot along the whole line of the butterfly in the wall and you could feel a big lip in the wall at 400,000 miles, I found a good used one but didn't know about the guy in Florida at the time otherwise would have gone that route

    I've always just hand tightened them with a socket wrench. Never had any loosen or issues.

    another big question, my truck has 106k miles on it supercharger oil has never been changed, should I buy a rebuild kit, or just change the oil?

    When I got my truck, the supercharger was on it and it wasn't clear how many miles the supercharger had. When I went to change the oil, there was practically none in there...just residue. Freaked me out but it's never shown any symptoms of needing a rebuild or underperforming. I change the oil ever 30k on mine.

    The trucks never came with a supercharger from the factory, it was an add-on available through the dealership. But assuming it's been on your truck since day 1, then I'd start looking into a rebuild soon...TRD recommends them around 100k miles for the supercharger.

    Typically they start to rattle loud and sound really obnoxious when they're in need of a rebuild

    Try Magnuson since they manufacture the 3.4l superchargers...I'd just give them a call and see what they recommend. Or you could send it in somewhere, there are a few places recommended here. @1997tacomav6 has a good place out in Colorado I think that he recommended

    rebuilding my charger now, and trying to figure out if I can just buy a regular intake gasket, or if I need a special gasket since it has the charger. please help lol

    You mean the throttle body gasket or the gasket between the engine and SC? The throttle body gasket needs to be a O shaped to allow maximum air flow, but the 6 holed intake gasket is just the OEM one.
