no I was actually serious, I guess he is saying your spoiled? but jealousy can make a real ass out of a person. Don't worry about it, especially since your trying to get into an older truck to save your parents some money, thats real good of you man.

Oh ok good. That wasn't pointed to you or anything BTW. Just the sarcastic smiley caught me on a bad edge. Forgive me....

I'm also thinking about an older truck so that I can take over the payments (if any) easier. I hope to have most of my bills being paid by me in my first year of college.

I liked the 3.4L V6... were there ever any issues with that engine?

Lents them 3.4Ls are strong ass engines. My brothers 99 4Runner has the 3.4, he abuses the shit outta it, i mean he really beats it. But that thing still haulz ass, idles smoothly, starts up strong, it is a very reliable engine. How serious are you about selling your truck?

I wouldnt get a truck like that imo. Its been cut up, probably jumped, and stripped. I would stay with stock-semi stock. Im thinking about makeing the move from my 2nd gen to a 1st gen also. There just not made like they use to be.

Hey, you worded it like that. Some would call it a Freudian slip.

I'm just always curious, what was the OTD price of the truck and how much have you sunk into it? Cause you realise you'd lose money doing what you're doing.

Of course he'll lose money, but you only live once, get the truck you want and you'll be happy with it.
IMO it's worth it to lose some money now, cause as stated time and time again here on tw, they aren't built like they used to be, Personally I think when they get older there may be bigger problems, again it's just my opinion on that, yours may be different.

I didnt mean it like that. I would call it the truth and being honest.

If you really want to know, It's a used $22k truck we still owe $19k on it and I have spent about $1500 on it.

Happy? Do you realize that your not my pencil-pusher? I have a plan and I'm sticking to it. If you don't like my plans then get the fuck out.... Its as simple as that.

On a side note, I just test drove a 1st Gen. I didn't notice that much of a difference when it got up to speed. Yes the acceleration may be a little bit more from the 4.0L but nothing too crazy.

I test drove a Silver 2004 Extended cab V6 PreRunner with only 44k miles!!!!! :O
