Interesting. So tune is close enough to swapping gears with regards to drivability with 33's? I passed on 33 just to due to the fact the truck is sluggish enough with 265's.

Honestly if you think it's sluggish with 265's I think you'll be very disappointed with a tune and 33's.

Bigger tires are all about compromises.

Does anyone other than @mesojdm running OV Tune with 35's? After putting 35's I feel the truck doesn't have much power, especially while off roading. I wanted some feed back from people who have done the tune to see if it improves the performance or am I better of switching to 4.88 gears or going to have to do both. Thanks!

I am running 35s, OVTune, and 4.88s. Get the tune and gears. You won’t be disappointed. My truck is manual transmission and if I launch hard enough, I can roast the 35’s. Couldn’t do that before the tune.

So I have gone from stock--stock w/35's, 35's now with tune. and soon to be tune+35+4.88's.
Stock with 35's was bareable but not that fun to drive
with 1.03 OV It really makes up for the heavy tires. You can still notice them but the power is about back to what stock tires/stock tune would feel like. I have gears going in soon, I can't imagine what it will drive like. I think you could get away with 35's+tune no problem.

I went to Hollister for off-roading yesterday and went up the truck hill (steep hill) and first time my truck didn't even gain any momentum and only went up 1/4th of a hill and had to reverse back down and in second attempt I made it up all the way but my truck had no power and rpms wouldn't go higher than 2k. I had done that hill with same truck when it was completely stock and no problem. I didn't notice all of these little issue driving this truck when it was stock, but with 35's it definitely needs gears and tune. I was kinda afraid you guys would say I need both lol...I guess time to sell my kidney for tune and gears!
    Thanks guys!
