3" King or 3" Fox suspension?

    All about the same performance. For the every day DD and once a month off roading I would go by 2 things: 1. Do a lot of studying with material of construction and combination of materials with corrosion (Cathodic Protection). 2. Give Maria @ HeadStrong Off-Road a call or PM to compare prices for the cheapest kit.

    Fox is better resistance against corrosion. That's why we run it up north. We have no choice but to go with fox if we don't want to replace seals every spring

    Im a little biased being a mountain biker, but Fox from my experience is a bitch to deal with. They are slow to return stuff and arnt cheap. King, I have always been just a call away and are great with their components. All coilovers will rust with neglect, but if you search the here you will find some of the older fox threads that they used to rust out like crazy. I think one member even got FOX to send him a brand new set of coilovers because his rusted out in less than a year. I think Fox has made a new coating to hopefully fix this, but most places I have looked, fox seem to be the more expensive option?

    Im on my second set of kings with my LT front, and have no regrets!

    Same for the opposite reasoning lol. Live off the gulf coast so a lot of salt water for me. Still have to take precaution with cleaning afterwards but no rust yet with my Fox 2.5 set up.

    I literally tried everything to get the collars to turn. I applied WD-40 to the threads and used a cheater bar on the spanner wrench and it would not budge. We had to remove the front coilovers and use a spring compressor to release some of the tension for them adjust. I've installed and adjusted many coilover setups on my track cars and have never experienced something like it. I have since sold the FJ and the Fox suspension.

    Sure did. I even unbolted the sway bar to release any tension that may be caused. I know, this sounds crazy.

    Mine was a PITA too. Sprayed the hell out of it with lube..let it soak. Used the coilover wrench with a deadblow hammer, ended up spinning(not easy though)

    Wow never heard it being that difficult. I think I would have sold them if I couldnt adjust them on the vehicle.

    If you like to drive your truck mainly on asphalt but want the capability to occasionally go offroad then get the fox suspension. I have it personally and am very happy with my purchase overall. Would buy again/recommend to friends. Fox gives better cornering and controls the weight of the truck better at speed, and King controls the truck better at low speed and keeps it nice and comfy offroad even over rough obstacles. Fox = Rally truck, King = Rock crawler truck, its your choice:burnrubber:
