I'm thinkin 2" wide. I would measure the width of your leaf pack to be sure.

Well last night I ordered the carrier bearing drop kit from Toytec. After the install I will let everyone know if I see a difference. The shutter is not bad. Just a small shutter from around 10 - 20 mph. Once past that everything is fine.

    No, No.
Well sell a m, its just listed under the 1st gen tacomas.

We have found that the 3 works well with the newer taco's.
    But both application fit.

Do the shims have a hole in them where the centering bolt goes? When doing my AAL's this weekend I noticed a hole in the axle where the centering bolt goes.

Ok so I read through this thread and I am a victim of TDLV. (Taco driveline vibes) So anyways I have the rear TSB and a 1 inch block in the rear. I say this because from what I read is that the vibes are only coming from trucks with a rear lift. So ultimately what is the solution we have come up with to cure TDLV??

just a shim under the block? or carrier bearing drop and shim?

I can't answer that, but I can tell you that I currently have no carrier bearing drop or shim. I ordered the CB drop and will install it this Sunday. If that doesn't work I will order the shims and install those.

Will let you know what I find.

Im no mechanic but I did have vibes until I installed degree shims, I have 2.5 lift in the front and no diff drop. the vibes I got came from the rear, and the shims cured this.

Would do that in a heartbeat no matter what the cost. However, I am an idiot and bought a pre-runner and its not a flang - flang. So I am SOL.

this shim actually goes right under the leaf pack on the axle. It rotates the axle to help correct the angle of your drive line.

I plan on installing a 2* shim when I do mine. I hear that a 3* shim will work as well.

Ok installed the carrier bearing last night. Couldn't wait on my buddy. And it only took 5 minutes.

I can notice a small difference in the vibrations. They are better but not perfect. I am going to order the shims. It just feels that the vehicle is begging for the shims and all will be right :)

The carrier bearing drop by itself did help though.

We believe that the 3* works great for your vehicle.
but we do sell the 2.5.
