That lift will net you about 2.5". Less cv issues and you can keep stock UCAs!

There's really nothing. You've got a newer truck so I doubt anything needs replacing due to age. Any other mods down there won't necessarily be any easier while you're down there. Only thing I could think of is getting wheelers bumpstops up front.

I had 3" spacers lift with an add a leaf on my truck for about 3 years and just recently added 5100's and ome 887 coils to get rid of the spacers and I can tell you the ride is amazing, completely different for the better. I notice my truck sits about a quarter inch lower with the new springs but I'm ok with that. I run 285-70-17 and there's only a slight rub at full lock in reverse. Uca's aren't needed but they would help, my camber is aligned but to get the caster right so you don't have the floating feeling I need to get the uca's. All in all very happy with this setup and definitely recommend.

So bumpstops are what hits when your suspension bottoms out. Up front, it's a round thing thatll hit your lower control arm. For ~$50, wheelers off-road sells their super bumps and are supposedly a whole lot smoother!

No I planned on only doing new shocks and keeping the spacers I already had the add a leaf but then my brother convinced me to do the springs for the better ride. So ordered separately and had a local shop compress and put the springs and shocks together for me. It's pretty easy to the rest of the install yourself

Bump stops and I'm a big advocate of the rear U-bolt flip kit install while doing the rear lift.

I failed to mention I have 285/65/18 Nitto Terra Grappler g2 waiting to throw on there with the lift all at once. Also will I have any tire rub?

Dude, that's like a chick getting you all cranked up then telling you she's on the rag. Yes you will rub with 285's. I'll let someone else explain where since I'm on 265's. GL:thumbsup:

So riding around town on flat ground you'll more than likely be fine. It's when you hit bumps that you rub. This includes the cab mount, pinch weld, or on plastic. If you run 285s, be prepared to do some trimming. This is what a cab mount chop, CMC, looks like.

    Just a grocery getter
I'll tell you flat out. For 6-800. You'll only find a spacer lift and that is shit. I'd suggest put it off and save some more money and do it properly. It'll run you about 1200-1500 on the low end. I'm running kings and a Chevy 63 swap so I have about 3 grand in my suspension alone but it's the best ride for my use.

Oh heres another rookie question. What is the purpose of wheel spacers? Pros & cons.
