Thanks for the input guys--ordered the Toytec spacer lift last night. Now I just gotta wait for it to get here.... and then get it installed. Hope it's not that expensive to put on. Winter here, so the driveway's not an option, and there's some question whether it'll fit through the garage door after the lift, so doing it in the garage is not an option either. Either way it'll be my favorite x-mas present!

This is as close as I can fine to it--the 229.00 one. Things have changed on the Toytec site since 2007! lol! I would have gotten the AAL in the back if I could have then (wasn't an option with the TSB at the time). I want to find the money to do that now at some point. :D

so this kit is a spacer in the front and an add a leaf in the rear? I thought everyone on here says to stay away from spacers? The Toytec website states that this is their "Best Seller." I read about those who say to go with Bilstein 5100s all around with an add a leaf. Then I read those who did this say they hate the way their truck rides and take them off and go back to stock. I am confused on which is the right thing to do. I can get a Ready Lift installed on my Taco for $320 with alignment included. Here is the link: http://www.readylift.com/c-104-tacoma-prerunner-sst-lift-kit-2005-2009-2wd-4wd-275-30f10r.aspx I am not planning on off-roading but like another poster said, I want it so that I can put bigger tires on and give it a more rugged look. So which lift is the best for my purposes?

I only know the Toytec, so while I wish I could help more, someone with more experience will jump in. I haven't had any problems at all with the Toytec--even with the blocks in the back.

Did you have to add longer brake lines in the rear. I have been looking into lifts. I just want a little more tire clearance and my truck to look better. Im only in the mud when im hunting. Dont really want to spend 2000 on a 3inch lift when I can get by with getting one for 300.
