Does the 3" Toytec spacer lift for the 05-15 Tacomas fit the 2016 too?

Why not email ToyTec and inquire with them?

I called Toytec and they said they're not sure. Was wondering of anybody tried it.

They don't know what their products fit and they're building a 2016 for SEMA?

I would buy a lift from a company who cares a little more.

    @ToyTec Lifts

Do you not understand your own product line and what fits what? I would hope no question about your product fitment results in a "I don't know" response from your team.

    Maybe you can help here.

I've been running Toytec spacer lifts on all my Tacomas. Cheap way to clear 285s. I'm not concerned about ride quality.

Yes, i love spacer lifts! I don't care what anybody says. I've been running them for years. I didn't bash them in anyway and read all the posts. I called Toytec. And that is not the topic. All i want to know is if the 05-15 spacer lift fits the 2016. Thanks!

    As do I.

Manufacturers not knowing what they sell is a secondary issue. It's not the first time someone has had a similar issue with ToyTec.

    It wasn't as simple as a "i don't know"

We haven't tested it yet because we were not able to test it due to the truck being built for SEMA. Once it gets back, we are going to test everything to make sure works as it should.

Obviously there was more to the story as @ToyTec Lifts posted.
How can they test something they haven't had a chance to drive more than a couple of miles for a true test?
I'm sure they want to ensure fitment, and quality control are at 100%.

    Op,

To answer your question, i do believe that the 3 inch spacer kit will have to be different. The stock coil springs on the 3rd gen have a higher spring rate and provide a increase in height from the 05-15. So in all likeliness, it will have to be changed.

Agreed. I guess the annoyance was with another poor ToyTec customer service experience where someone is sent to Google or TW because they didn't get some kind of productive response like "we're in the process of confirming fitment" or similar.

I suppose I probably shouldn't have taken OPs "ToyTec said they don't know" as their actual words. But.. this isn't the first thread I've seen with the same lack of information or lack of response from TT, so glad this one has been answered.

There's been a number of members who have had issues with their customer service and getting information, so I apologize for jumping to conclusions.

No worries man. Perhaps the previous case was similar to this one? Either way, we try to help people as best we can. Even if that means telling people "hey we haven't tested that exact combination yet. Maybe try looking here and see if someone else has?"

I've been told there was a change of management and that the previous crew had some issues, so I apologize if I was calling you out for the problems of a former management staff.

Wasn't trying to be a dick. But, I usually don't have to try. :(
