    Looks great!

Hmm mine has two LEDs as well, the text and the light bar. The way I have it wired is that by default no LEDs are on, when I turn the headlights on the text LED light up with the rest of the interior lights, and when I press the button to turn the light bar on the light bar LED lights up. I also used a relay connecting it to the battery. Maybe try tapping the rear bed lights since the wires are right next to the switch you're installing and see if that fixes it.

I'm comparing pics of front bumper LED light bar brackets for a 2015 Tacoma to the 2016 bracket offered by a popular company people have recommended. The 15 brackets appear to be the exact same except the mounting holes are slotted on the 16. Wouldn't be hard to slot the mounting holes on the 15. The 15 is also half the money. I'm purposely not naming the companies because they are good companies but would do so in PM.

Has anyone tried using the 15 bracket on a 16 Tacoma?

    Great write up! Thanks!

I followed your instructions and wired up the caliraised led bar in the front bumper, but my interior switch(to turn on the led bar on and off) stays on even after I turn off the lights and close all doors and lock it. Any idea what might be causing it?

Did you tap a wire into the green rear cargo/bed light? Once you do that, it'll only come on when the interior lights are on / headlights are on

Great write up! Has anyone slapped a light bar in the sport hood scoop?

Diode dynamics has their stage series 30" light bars and is in the process of CAD designing their brackets for a 16+ Tacoma at this point. Probably won't get a better setup without spending double the money for rigid industries.

That is exactly what I did. I bought the switch from Caliraisedled and wonder if the wire configuration is different. I have contacted them and they are very slow to respond.

Seems like hood glare would be an issue. Very distracting with a brightly illuminated hood in the fore-vision.

Hmm were all the wires from the harness the same colors as the ones I showed?

    Just a few LEDs...
Mine isn't exactly a "light bar". It's more decorative than functional, but a member here has made a bracket that allows the mounting of a functional light bar in the scoop of the older and newer 2nd gens. He might have a kit for the 3rd gens by now.

Here is the thread for the 2nd gen kit.

So, caliraisedled bar has 3 wires: Black, red, and white. The push button switch that I received is similar to yours and all wire colors are same.

I connected black to black, connect white cable from the LED bar to green wire on the switch, and then was left with two red wires. One red wire (closests to black wire) I tapped in to green wire from the switch for bed lights and the other red wire I connected to the LED bar red cable.

Hmm I think you may need to switch your white and red harness wires:
-green switch to red harness with butt connector (relay power from battery)
-red 1 switch to white harness with butt connector (light bar)
-red 2 switch to rear cargo bed light with t-tap (only on with interior lights
-black switch to black harness with butt connector (ground)
