305/70/16 with 3" of lift?

WOW I was surprised. Got the 305's installed today. I have no rubbing at all, on anything at full lock, right and left, foreward and reverse. I was figuring I would hit the body mount but it clears fine at least in the street.

The truck seems to push them just fine. I couldn't notice any differenace between the 265's and these in regards to acceleration.

 

I am getting ready to put some 33X12.5 16's on my truck, running 285's now, I think I will be fine. Will find out in the next week or so.

 

wow, that's good to hear. what size wheels are those mounted on? and how what lift do you have in the front and rear? got any pics?!

Will do, the 285's on there now measure out at 32.7 for the outside diameter, the 33's are 33 on the OD. Mounting them on the same TRD 16x7 wheels so it may make them just a tad taller but I "should" be fine on the width. Width difference is like an inch and a quarter, split that in half and in theory I should not rub. We will see.

 

well i'd like to hear back from you about the width. that's what is holding me back, i don't mind cutting plastic for fitting, but i don't want to get into the body mount if possible.

 

I have Pro Comp 1069's. They are 16x8 with 4" backspace. Right now I have the Revtek still on it but I'm putting my ICON's on Saturday. After I get my missing resi bracket for the rear shocks and install the rear shocks next weekend, I will put up some pics of the finished product.

 

Yes im looking forward to the pics!! Im thinking about this for my regular cab
