Can anyone please tell me if I am going to run into any issue with the stock upper control arm if I go with 315/70/17's BFG AT's? I have a 2.5" lift with the sport wheels and 1.5" spidertrax.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
That's almost a 35" tire. I don't think it will fit with a 2.5" lift. :notsure: Some will chime in, I'm sure

Probably as long as you are not afraid of the sawzall. Seriously, 315/70/17 will actually be about a 34.5" tire. You will most likely have to chop the body mount and trim some plastic.

Yea they say it's about 34.5" but when on the truck it'll prolly sit about a 1/2" lower so I really don't think it'll be that bad. But yea I know I'm gonna have to body mount chop it, that doesn't bother me. I am just worried about the stock control arm.

Basically the story with these tires is that my girlfriend's mom has 2 extra 315/70/17's BFG AT's from her Hummer just sitting in their barn that I can have for free. So all I need to do is buy 2 more. And I figure that's prolly the cheapest set of 35's I'll come across.

Sit 1/2" lower when mounted? :notsure: The top and sides aren't going to stick out(perpendicular to the hub) any less when you mount them.

If you have the tires laying around then go to a tire shop and mount one up and do some test fitting to see the work involved and if you are willing to undertake it.

All the 2nd gens I've seen with 35's on 3" of lift have aftermarket front bumpers.

I had 325 on a 3" lift. Major bumper/fender trimming and cab mount chop.
