I think it could. Ill be running 35's shortly on my 4-banger driving up to 300 miles a day, on average 60 or so. As long as you are smart and do it correctly you should be ok. Make sure you re-gear and try not to choose a really heavy wheel/tire combo.

the less aggressive the tread pattern is and the lighter the combo turns out the better for you!

Why get a V6, 6" lift, and 35's on a DD where you commute 130 mile a day?

thats what i like to hear lol
my trucks take a fair amount of abuse weather im carrying to bikes in the back loaded down going to the track or hauling a box stand through the woods at the hunting camp or just cuttin up in the mud on the weekends
i just hope all those wear and tear items can take it and still sling those 35s to get me to and from work...decisions decisions
im probably just going to wind up doing it about 2 months after i get the truck

The additional power from the supercharger is overcoming a lot of the extra rotational mass.

Yes, absolutely. I drive A LOT. My last car I put 187,000 miles in 4 years. I think a BIG thing is HOW you drive. I try not to "punch" it a lot especially off the line and keep it under 70mph. I still like to get into her every now and then but as I have gotten older I have learned how to drive much more efficiently. If you have the money to do this, the day you have it done you will have the biggest smile on your face. What wheel/tire combo are you contemplating?

man im so happy to hear this and i understand completely about "how" you drive
and id like to go with 35'' m/ts with stock wheels but at the same time the a/ts are tempting as well because of the life they have compared to them mud tires
i have 33'' super swampers on my current truck and i have no complaints about em what so ever and they look so dam tough its unreal im not sure if ill wind up gettin some m/ts or a/ts what do you think

Doing a drop bracket you lose clearance even with 35. Go with a 3" lift and run 35's if you want to maximize lift under your front/rear diff and keep a good center when off road.

Been there did that and regretted it. Have a 6 Procomp lift and just had to have 35's on 20's. Got them and they were clutch killers. Flippin things robbed power and cost out the asp. Regrouped, found someone who wanted the big stuff and re-shoed with 33 Toyos on 17's. This summer I splurged on a second set of rims and tires and got 33 Wildpeaks on 18" Eagles for summer use. Much happier and I don't kill my mud tires hammering up and down the highway.

Well, you do have quite a decision on your hands!!! I would like to say this. Go with what your heart tells you! If your heart is telling you 6" with 35s then go that route! You dont want to get 4" and 33s and always have that "what if" feeling. Many have wasted money buying suspension components/tires/wheels only to have that "itch" to upgrade OR downgrade. You always see guys trying to sell their mid-travel setups because they are now going full long travel. You see guys selling 3" lifts so they can go 6". You will also see guys going in reverse because they THOUGHT they wanted 6" and realized it was too much. In ANY case, it is money wasted as you will NEVER get what you originally paid back. Try to imagine all the different scenarios you will encounter in the next few years and see which setup will bring you the most happiness. Can you afford the long term costs of 6" with 35s? Are you willing to lose some daily driving comfort and drivability? How "bad ass" do you want to look? Is it optimum for the type of offroading you will be doing? I think 3-4" with 33s will suit 90% of Tacoma owners. For the last 10% that want to be more extreme and go 6"+, SAS, LT, etc. we are a different breed and have different needs and therefore must sacrifice those comforts and money in order to achieve the performance or look desired.

Actually...YOu DO see quite a few wanting to go from a 6" lift to a 3" lift. Many reasons you dont see as many, is due to having to cut the crossmember to install a 6" lift. However, You can re weld or buy the new part from Toyota, and go back.

i like my 6 inch lift, doesn't look bad IMO, but i also got the truck like that.... and the only thing i hate it the drop bar, you don't get that much ground clearance
