Great to hear this. I'm assuming you are the sole original owner (i.e. You bought it new)?

Good to hear OP. My 2011 has close to 40k now and I hope it goes well beyond 200k miles. After talking with Toyota and realizing I would need about $20,000 plus my truck trade in, that's just not going to happen.

Great thread OP. My 08 will turn 250k this month, if memory serves I'm on my 5th set of spark plugs. I have had zero break downs as well, I change the oil every 5000 miles (5w 30 conventional). Good luck with your 07, I would also like to exceed 500k.

Really great to hear ! The plugs do erode out of spec by 30,000 miles though.

I just rolled over 250000 miles today.
I also have a 2007 prerunner V6 auto trans like the OP.
I have only replaced the plugs once at 225000 miles. I also cleaned the throttle body at the same time.
The front brake pads at 150000 and 245000 miles
The U joints at 235000 miles
Changed radiator coolant and transmission filter and 4 quarts fluid at 240000 miles.

I guess the truck is about 1/4 used up. Still runs like new.

Have you had your transmission serviced any time in the past? Fluid change?

I'm baffled by the spark plug change intervals!! I guess it's all in how your raised??

How about serpentine belt? Still original, I suppose? ;)

This was my first servicing of the transmission, I was not having issues, but it was overdue. The plugs actually looked pretty good, gap was too big, so it helped with starting, and idle.
The serpentine belt is original, and looks fine.
I forgot to mention I changed the oil in the rear end at 240000 miles

Rangers rock, I had mine for 16years, never left me hanging. When I gifted it to a buddy of mine it had about 186k on her. Most major parts were original except for the alternator (replaced twice) and the usual stuff that wears out on any vehicle. I replaced shocks, ball joints and wheel bearings at about 150k. My buddy had to replace the brake lines, 16 years of salty road ate them up, dropped in a new battery and changed the oil. It's his daily driver and I expect it will go 225-250k. If Ford still made Rangers I doubt I would have bought the Tacoma.

Yeah, don't take it to heart (my post). It's just a normal thing we say here about any of the 'Big 3' auto makers.

No worries, I'm not a fan of any of the big 3 full size trucks either. I do love my Tacoma but still miss the Ranger. 0916161830.jpg

    OK,

I forgot to mention that I did have the belt replaced.

I have done nothing to the transmission.

I use Valvoline oil $13.99 for a 5 quart jug at the evil W...Mart.

Filters I buy by the case from Amazon.

I bought the truck in 2008 with 32k it was a certified pre owned from a Toyota Dealer in Tempe.

I had the TSB for the suspension upgrade free Bilstieens can't be beat. I learned about that thanks to this forum.

Not sure how to add a photo.

I will update further repairs as they happen.
I think that my Tacoma will make it to 999999, but I wonder what the odometer will do after that.

Petroleum oil, ordinary Valvoline as mentioned in the reply above your reply, 5- 30, I change it when the light comes on after 5k miles which for me is between a month to 6 weeks depending on how much work I get. I work as a courier using my own truck.

My Camry has 320,000 miles on it.

Only have replaced starter, alternator, belt, and had the AC recharged.

    Does that count?
