so i have been able to get on live on my laptop everytime except the past three days. nothing has been changed on my laptop except loading on a internet security system, do you think thats what wont let me get on?

and my parents will connect right away.

disable the firewall in the ISS, and check the windows firewall. Google the site to see what ports need to be opened on the firewall, then allow those ports.
