Just in case anybody wanted to know, I used the 3M lens restoration kit on my 2002. Should have taken before and after photos as the results were as advertised!

I used another brand's kit, but I was also surprised at how well it worked. Definitely worth the $20 it cost, rather than $200 headlights

I can also vouch for the 3m kit. Did my headlights a month ago with it and they look brand new.

I did mine recently and I cant remember which kit I used, but it sure did take a lot of buffing! Nothing like any commercials I have ever seen, that's for sure! It looks good though, just took a lot of buffing.

+1 for the turtle wax. This is the only kit i've seen that includes a sealant. Other than that, they're all pretty much the same. And without the sealant you'll just have to do it again in 6 months or so.

Thanks for the post OP. Saw this in the store just the other day and was skeptical. Good to know it works! I'll be picking some up this weekend.:)

That is why I put Collinite paint sealant on my lights. Nothing sticks to them

Sweet! The 3M kit I saw in walmart didn't say anything about a sealant on the packaging or I would have bought that one instead.

There is a three stage "sanding" process. The final buffing is what acts as the sealer, more or less. One kit handled both of my headlights.

The 3M kit is definitely one of the highest quality kits out there in its price range. I have worked for Advance Auto Parts for 8 years and have had the opportunity to test almost all the major brands out there and the others don't even come close. Its the only product I recommend to my customers.
