Hey, so I got a couple things I wanna do that require that 3M double sided tape. Has anyone had failures with it in these temps? I have all the fixins to put led lights in my bed, cuz it's an SR5 work truck. I unload tools in the dark a lot. Also I have bumper covers coming that have that tape (it's a work truck, but I don't like chromed plastic). I have a heat gun, but after application the temp would of course drop down within minutes. Is the initial tack the most important part? Should I wait until a warm spring day to do these things even though that'd drive me insane??

Is there a heated garage you could stash it in for a few hours? I’ve tried some of the self adhesive gaskets on my topper with a heat gun, had to redo them when it was warmer.

The closest heated garage is 1.5 hrs away, up in Lino Lakes. Ugh.

Is there a local shop that would let you park in Their garage overnight? Sometimes coffee and doughnuts go a long way.
