Hey guys. if anyone has any pics of their 3rd gen with 3rd gen Bilstein 5100's using stock coils on the second and third notch, could you post pics please? I have a 2017 TRD Sport and am trying to decide between the 2nd and 3rd notch setting. I will be running 265/70r17 AT tires but the rest will be stock. I am hoping to level the front will perhaps a slight rake but no lean. I have read thru the entire 5100 3rd gen post but most those seem to be different setups.
    TIA

I'm thinking of going this route OR going with 3rd gen 5100's/ 885's with 3 leaf progressive AAL in the rear. :notsure:

check the thread "levelng 2016 with bilstein adjustable 5100" there are lots of setups and likely the answers you are looking for. Pretty sure I read one exactly like your ? - they went 3rd notch (1.1) on gen 3 5100's w stock coils and said it was level. I am still thinking gen 2 5100's at .85 wth stock coil. Kind of like splitting hairs - gen 3 5100's at .65 or 1.1, or gen 2 5100's at .85. More travel in gen 2 so that was the deciding factor for me. good luck with the lift.

^^^ That FTW.... springs are not that expensive and more work to remove old and install on new shocks.... than just have new installed with springs already set up for you..

I'm going 3rd notch. But I also have about 150 lbs of bumper and winch on the front.

might want to try the thread "3 rd gen bilstein 5100 now available." Thread pages 13 -16 have what you are looking for with torque specs and video of DIY.

I recommend calling Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road and telling her your goals.

3rd notch is a poor choice, as you are lifting via preload of the springs. Reduces travel, increases harshness, risks coil bind if you actually use the truck off road.

A better plan is to select the spring you need to meet your goal, and match it with the right damper to control the spring. Which likely won't be a 5100.

Do it once, do it right.
