So i got a BDS 6 inch and i love it so far but im having trouble picking out suspension. The ride of course is rough with just the blocks and im pretty new to all this so i dont really know what kind of good options i have or what the best thing to do next is. Preferably options that wont run me broke lol

You're looking at 2000-3000$ for decent riding coil overs and extended rear shocks.

Is it a giant block in the rear as well or is there an add-a-leaf at least?

Suspension options can be limited but usually with lifts that tall people end up running LT tires and that contributes a good amount to ride comfort (or lack thereof). Id look at your tires first

Sadly, a giant block haha. I would like to spend less then 3000 for some decent ride quality but i know quality has a cost.

What about remote reservoirs? Do they make a big difference because the price is a whole lot different

Misconception is that it rides any different than stock.

I assume you're referring to the stock coil overs with the top spacers? Should ride exactly the same as a stock suspension. There is no way for it to become stiffer or rough. Blocks do not change how the suspension articulates.
The reason for Reservoir on the shocks, is if you plan on doing long high cyclical rate of suspension compression. Rally racing, Desert running or long days on the trails. Reservoirs allow for fluid expansion to keep damping rate stable because of the higher volume of fluid. So it would depend on how you use your truck.
You coils determine how stiff the ride is. The shocks dampen the rebound of the coils. (I believe the stock OR coils are rated at 700 lbs.)
IMHO I would stay with the stock coil-overs if you don't really do much off-roading? Aftermarket Coil-overs look great! But are you actually going to do the proper maintenance on them? Sure you can rebuild them. But over time they will look like Crap if you don't properly maintain them.

If your ride feels rough? It could be that your tires are over inflated? or the type of tire you are running? What is your wheel and tire set up?

Im still running the stock sport rims but with bfg km3 33s. And yes its the stock coils with blocks. I know obviously the rumbling comes from the tires but the stiff feeling too? I Feel every bump x2 compared to before i got the lift just doesnt seem the tires would be the cause of that but then again i dont know much about this. Any options for a smoother ride (tire rumbling excluded) while still being able to keep MTs??

I have the rough country 6 " lift with adjustable front coils . Also I have the rc vertex adjustable resis. The ride quality fits me . If I need more firmness or want softer ride I just hop out and make my adjustments

Im also on 16" rims with 285 km3's I run 34psi all around . More rubber than rim = better ride

Were you running the 33" tires without the lift? The lift only moves the suspension down. Does not change the amount of force it takes to compress the stock coils.
Put your stock street tires back on and the ride should feel the same as stock. What PSI are you running in the 33" KM3's? You should be between 27-30 psi.

    Are you in Hawaii?

No i havent ran the lift without 33s. I got the tires at 34psi. Could it possibly be the back suspension? Got a huge block back there with no changes to the leafs. And yes im in hawaii

Nope! Not the blocks. Again the blocks only raised the suspension. It didn't make it stiffer.
The stock radial tires are "Street" tires and will have a much softer ride. I assume you now have KM3's that are "E" rated? Thicker side walls and rubber. Requires less PSI to hold the truck up. Lowering your PSI to 30 will help.
    Who installed your lift?

    Where are you located?

Actually you need more PSI in E rated tire to support the weight of the Tacoma. I know it’s counterintuitive but that’s how it is. For example, if you get E load ATs in stock size, your psi goes up to 36-37 instead of 29-30.

Check out the tire pressure calculator online if you would like.

I think you are confusing load capacity with ride quality.

So you are saying it’s ok to drive with under inflated tires?

I'm saying that the entire threads of the tire needs to make contact with the road. The truck is so light that your pressure needs to be adjusted accordingly.
But you can do as you wish.
I've been doing this for more years than I care to remember.
