TRD emblems, tinted windows, OEM running boards, AVS vent shades, RMAS upgrade, LED lights in front and rear, interior LED lighting upgrade, LED lighting in bed, touch control dash mount for LED lighting, auxillary 12v and USB jacks in bed, replace all speakers with Infinity, custom mod with Bose tweeters, TRD Pro illumination mod...
I built this project box(pic #1, 2, 3) which gives me 6x relays(black box inside) and 4x relays(blue modules on top with remote control). I have 4 of the circuits connected parallel, front driving lights, rear off road lights, bed interior lights and perimeter lighting. I also built a remote switch panel(pic #4) that is housed in the left side cubby which allows me to turn on the bed lights(pic #4) as well as lights under the tailgate(pic #5) in a situation where I don't have my keys on me to turn the lights on from inside the cab. The switch panel also has a dual USB charge connection and 12v connection that I use for my Koolatron when traveling.

    There is
There is more to come. Adding my own version of puddle lights and installing Pop and Lock in tailgate with LED indicator.
Forgot to mention the LED pod installed under hood.
You should see the Pioneer DVD/ AM FM receiver I installed in my pop-up camper.

How does the OEM light kit for 2020 turn on if I don't have the switch since my access cab doesn't include it? I'd rather not hassle with the switch and relay install talked about here.

It doesn't without a switch. A lot of people are finding the relay is there already once they look back there..

If the Tacoma has the relay and fuse, you could get a connector and a jumper wire. This would mate with the switch harness in place of the expensive switch. The lights would turn ON every time unlock/lock and door open like the cab illumination.

Or even a OEM sized aftermarket switch with independent illumination or a very small one with no illumination.

Caribe...thanks for the response. However....I am obviously not as smart as you as I have no idea what your diagram is showing and what to do. I think I understand that if I buy the OEM switch and then the noted relay...I can make it work like the other trucks that have cargo bed lights. But what do I actually connect to what? Where does the relay go? What do I attach to the switch? Until today I thought I was a pretty smart guy...but I guess I was wrong. Any additional guidance you can provide is most appreciated. Thanks....

Re-read the first pages. There's even a diagram on where the switch goes and a picture of where the relay goes.

For dummies like me, this is how you do it.

    1. Find the connector under the driver’s side kick panel.

    2. Pop the terminal apart with a screw driver, it only pops up a couple milliliters to allow pins to be added or removed.

    3. Pop the pin in, close the connector, and wire it to the red bed light wiring.
