Your choice LED's to rear of vehicle, add-a-circuit to 10 amp BKUP lamp fuse No.2, one wire to rear of truck (loomed) and secured. ON with OEM BU lamps and Trailer (if connected). The added BU leds should not exceed 15 amps with the trailer connected. I venture to say the circuit could be "up'd the 20 from 15 then configure to share before buying LED's.
    P.S. for 2GR-FKS only

Variation: added relay and cab switch for ON when ya like. Hot fuse negates auto off when vehicle off when you leave switch ON.

Tap the power to the BU lamp for added relay pin 87a and Battery Charger circuit in the T12 towing socket, place weatherproof fuse holder inline the tapped Battery Charger line, run relay pin 85 wire and LED grounds wires (loomed) to cab switch.(DPDT)

This one you leave relays and towing taps in engine room, nicely tuck away.

Fairly sure my setup is closer to @caribe makaira, however I tapped a 12v lead under my dash that is hot with reverse engaged for my 'on with reverse' switch power for the in-cab DPDT switch. Everything under the hood runs through my aux relay/fuse box so I didn't have to tap into anything in the factory boxes. I like having the option of turning off the bright reverse LED's when needed, AND having the option of lighting them up just off the switch for things like setting up camp... or other reasons.

For a better and shorter run on that reverse wire, since you're using the switch they included, find out if your Tacoma has the fuse on the first post.
