Which vinyl wheel covers did you use? I think I'm going to finally bite the bullet and get a suspension upgrade, so I don't want to spend the money on a new set of wheels. I've seen the vinyl covers on a couple of customers' trucks now, and they look pretty good. They should be a decent compromise until I decide to upgrade my wheels.

I did the TVD Vinyl, I think it was an etsy shop. Install was easy and so far has lasted 2 winters on my wheels.

Went to a fun, little Toyota meet up the other day. I haven't had the chance yet to meet too many people in the local groups (Toyota, off road, etc.) so it was nice to meet a few more folks face to face. Two of the guys at the meet up were previous customers, so it was fun following up with them on how the KDMax tune is treating them. (Spoiler, they still love it!)

Time to go Pro! AK Taco Tuner is now a licensed Pro Tuner for OV Tune/vF Tuner. Between the additional capabilities of the Pro software and the support and ingenuity of the KDMax Tuning Group, expect some exciting updates in the next couple of months!

Perhaps something to do with 4Runners, Tundras, and 2nd Gen Tacomas... no official timeline yet though!

In the meantime, I'm here to help you fall in love with your 3rd Gen Tacoma again. Stop the gear hunting, smooth shifting, access full power and torque throughout the RPM band, and improve throttle response. Call or message with any questions or to set up an appointment!

Finally made it on a trail ride! Hit up Ruby Lake with the Alaskan OffRoad Toyota Group (https://www.instagram.com/ak_offroad_toyota_group). My RCI skids got quite the workout. Guess it's time for a suspension upgrade/lift and some bigger tires:

It's been so much fun getting to know the 3rd Gen owners around Alaska, that I've decided to expand to more Toyota models! Hopefully I'll be seeing some of your around. I'm always happy to answer questions or talk shop.

Had a fun time meeting up with the Alaska Off Road Toyota Group yesterday! It was a bit soggy, but made for some fun puddles along the Knik River:

Finally! A break in the weather to tune this 2019 TRD Sport next to a very aptly named restaurant ;)

Met up with a customer who was running with a little, extra Christmas cheer on his rig 1f385_5c2610d2e7437ea44b83174d11c9255eabde6501.png! He upgraded to the Overland Tailor torque tune to really take advantage of the untapped power and torque lower in the RPM band. Someone's gonna have a merry Christmas! 1f384_4af4e2d6e7a96ce51ad46e2e45655a19909d4622.png

    Happy holidays y'all!

Any similar comparisons to the CVC, Do you think it’s better?

Right now, the Overland Tailor Tune is my favorite. The tune developer has been testing and fine tuning it for over a year now, and he is meticulous about utilizing data along with real world driving experience. He recently placed his truck on a Dyno to really dial everything in and be sure that the tune is safely getting as much performance as possible out of the vehicle (thinking long-term engine/transmission health, performance, and driveability of the vehicle).

I've personally tried different iterations of KD Max, Valley Runner, CVC (admittedly, it was the previous version of CVC, not the current one which is 3.0 I think), and OVTune as they've been progressing over the past two years, and Overland Tailor is easily my favorite. That being said, I'm always happy to let people test several different tunes. I unfortunately do not have access to CVC's current tune, but at this point, any of the top tunes are trustworthy and will make a huge improvement. There are a few guys in my network of tuners who have been able to directly compare CVC to Overland Tailor on their personal vehicles, and every one of them prefer Overland Tailor.

Excellent thank you. Currently have the CVC and we now tow a 3500lb camper, always looking to improve the low and mid range Hp/torque.
