New projectors and everything needed was about $650
Getting the old sealant out was Pretty tough
    Should cost a pretty penny

Yea, I figured as much. I wouldn't mind spending a little bit to have it done. I'll have to get in contact with the retrofit fella on here to see if he does them like this. I have no faith in my ability to reseal the casing haha.

Just have to make sure to use a bunch of clamps to apply pressure while it cools. Mine are dry as a bone.

    I didn’t use a single clamp
Mine are dry as a bone as well
Once it’s reheated the rubber becomes so soft
    What a difference
    Those old bulbs were crap
My dad has the same truck. We did everything the same minus the projectors, the light output is still awesome

We’re in the same boat I had to use a dremel to trim the housing that holds the projector and also the projector frame itself.

    Hey guys,
I'm gonna be doing a BHLM soon and just had a few questions.
295° for 15 min still the best to get them apart?
I'm upgrading to the RX350's. Does taking apart and painting the cutoff shield mess with the tuning? Any suggestion on high temp paint choice?
Is Krylon plastic bonding paint is the best for painting the internals of the headlight?
Did I need to lightly scuff everything with scotch brite or equivalent before painting?
Has anyone had any success painting the chrome reflection shields for the high beam and turn signals? If so, which paint and method worked?
Any info would be appreciated. Thank you.
    Matt

I have never done this but I'm not sure painting the high beam reflector would be a good idea? I would think you would lose a lot of light output. :notsure:Turn signal doesn't matter as much so should be ok.

I started a whole post on this. Apparently it’s used in Canadian Tacos for a low fluid or temperature sensor for the wipers.

Here’s the post if you want to scroll through it.

Thanks for the reply. I'm actually not too worried about light output from the factory high beam or turn signal because I'll have the high beam from the RX350 bi-xenon and I'm also installing the Diode Dynamics switchback LED.

Not a chance. I can't afford the headlights but can get them from quite a few people and many people have them. Only one place to get the mirrors and very, very few people have them. I like that.

I would advise against blacking out the highbeam bucket, unless you are a fashion over function type of person.

I have morimoto splitters which means quad high beams, RX350 + factory highs...bright as hell
