    Actually there is a difference, the 3rd gen has a higher front spring rate therefore a different shock dampening. Also the lift amount setting are different.

    Front Elka 2.5 non resi with 650lb spring Rear Serviceable 5160's with AAL 265/75/r16 BFG KO2

    They do exist. Different compress and extended length and different valving and dampening rate. they also have 5 settings with a max height of 2".
    Here are the specs for the 5100 for the 2016 part #24-263108. The 2015 5100 has a part#Bilstein 5100 24-239370.

    3rd Gen 5100s all around. Fronts set on first notch (0.65") with OME 887's and HS AAL in the rear. Drivers side lean spacer installed and rear overload spring left in. Diff drop installed.     If anyone in the market to stock up on parts, jet.com has the rear 5100 shocks on sale right for $68 per shock when you buy two of them. Just ordered a pair myself.

    just ordered bilstein 5100's (front and rear) for my 17' TRD OR but wasn't sure on the springs to get. I was looking at the OME springs and I see that majority of people are using the 887 or 888 for the 3rd gens. Are these the only ones that work or can I use something like the 885's?

    Sorry for the stupid question, I'm used to motorcycles not trucks and this is my first.

    Thanks for the help!
