4th gen will have auto UP tailgates..
They won't need surgery to run 33" tires.
The hood scoop on the Sports will feed the super charger & get 30 mpg.
0-60 will be in the 5.7-5.9sec range.

    Did I miss anything?

$40,000 for a midsize pickup? That's absurd

I bought a Taco in 2001 new, over 200,000 miles on it, replaced two timing belts, not because they failed, because I thought is was about time. Replaced the tires a few times :) ignition switch, probably because I had about 10lbs in keys on my chain, replaced belts when I replaced the last timing belt, which was about 2 months ago, and that's about it. Gave the truck to my 18 year old son, who loves it and will probably drive it for years. That's why I spent $40K on a TOYOTA mid size truck and will do it again!!! Totally love my expensive mid size truck. If there are people out there that can say that about their Chevy's Fords or whatever, cool

Exactly. Lots of wasted spit on this thread but you pretty much nailed it. Folks can comment all they want but the domestics just don't match Toyota. Not that they are bad trucks...they are not just on average the Toyota's have a better well earned reputation. GM recently has earned a deserved reputation for flimsy below average products. They still make a nice highway truck and if you want to take a chance their Tranny will hold up or the ignition won't turn your vehicle off on the highway ...well they make good trucks...

    In my league.

Unfortunately my '91 4Runner died or was about to so rather than buy a new set of tires and fix the speedometer I decided to throw caution to the wind and spend in excess of $51K CDN on a new TRD Sport with the Upgrade pkge and a 7 year ECP. What the hell it will most certainly be my last kick at a new vehicle other than maybe a new Corolla type car for my dear wife in a few years. It is what it is and I do love the truck and the challenge of trying to figure out how to program the FN computer on the dash. Got the garage door opening programmed. Next up installing all my addresses from my Garmin. You can't take it with you comes into play here a bit as well.

ps My Edmonton Eskimos just won the 103rd Grey Cup up here so life is pretty good. Much better than my head is going to be in the morning.

I am pissed my more efficient 3.5 motor puts out more HP and has virtually the same torque as those old gas guzzling 4 liters. Total BS!

My "gas guzzling 4.0" with 285s gets the same mileage as your little 3.5 is in the 4WD ORs guys are reporting.

To Hell with progress!!! I mean seriously, look at those tires with air in them. I need a solid wooden wheel. And those 4 cycle engines? Come on! Oh, and don't even get me started on air conditioning, power steering, windows, and automatic transmissions! What are we? A bunch of pansies?

I have to agree with you. This 3.5 is not great for mpg. My 06 was better so far.

    Reliability case in point...
I had a 2005 trd or for 6 years. Changed brakes, oil, and a wiper tranny in all that time. Many miles of trouble free ownership.
Poted it for sale and first to view it bought it with no haggling. Truck was and still is awesome.
When i bought my new one there was no haggling i could do really. Salesman had people lined up to buy one. Just spoke to a colleague who just bought a 2016 fully loaded ram. 60k msrp and after 4 hours he haggled em down to 45k plus tax! I will stick with my toyota thank you. And thats no BS.
