Out of curiosity to those who went this route, if OP is going to have to shut down, what is the major reason why people would not consider the DIR product I build? I don't mean to dirty up OP's clean thread but I figure asking in one of my threads won't get the correct audience. Here are the best ideas I can think of:

    1. Price
    2. Ease of installation
    3. Anytime use (the DIR only works while in reverse while the cover works all the time)
    4. Custom logos
I'm guess it's something like 95% or more about price given the feedback I've received?

Just curious how I can help out people who (like me) were/are annoyed by license plate camera glare if OP is unable to continue with his option. I really like it when consumers have choices, it's best for everyone.

I think you hit it right on the head as to why people have been buying this. From all the feedback I've received over the last few months, I feel that most people didn't even notice this issue until someone else pointed it out to them. For many, myself included, I couldn't justify spending the money to fix an issue that I didn't even realize I had (which is why I accidentally made these). But once I did fix it, I realized just how annoying it was and already had this fix in place.

I've still thought about buying yours just because I like how clean and high quality the craftsmanship on the wiring looks, but end up using the money for other things since the glare blockers fit my needs and have been holding up just fine. I know one day I'll end up buying a kit from you because as we all know, until you buy everything available for these trucks we can never be happy

As far as stopping production, it'll only be while I'm deployed. Once I return I plan on continuing to make these as well as start advertising the plates for the other vehicles that I've made. I had plans to do that already but family life and the military have had other plans :goingcrazy:

I would have to say my decision was based completely on the customizable logo and @sphinxbccp did an AMAZING job, thank you!

I actually found your harness first when I went looking for a solution after realizing that turning off the headlights improves the picture dramatically.
I think you hit the nail on the head with your potential reasons. A lot of people seem to really like the custom images but for me personally it was the cost.
The problem can also be solved with a piece of tape over part of the lens. After seeing sphinxbccp’s covers, I thought about DIYing some but figured I could support a member and save some time/effort by ordering his.
So while your harness is a much more elegant solution, it was hard for me to justify dropping the coin.
I definitely don’t mean any disrespect or anything! In fact I’ll be ordering a set of your LED harnesses sooner than later. Just sharing my reasoning

Thank you and as promised will put these out for you on the f150 and raptor forums. I know you ran out of time so while you are away I'm going to try whittling away at these till they fit inside the cutout.

Glad you're back and safe at home.

Love my license plate light glare fix...I swapped out the halogen for LED lights too!
