Show me your double cab 3rd gen set ups. Thinking of building my own box to fit in the behind seat storage without further modification. Anyone done this?

How do you like it? I'm trying to decide between a powered sub or custom building a box and using a shallow mount sub

Its okay. A little thump and bump, but im sure if you want clarity, there are better options for you. The one that i bought from Crutchfield is all plug and play with minimal customizing to make it fit behind the drivers rear seat. I have replaced all of the door speakers with Kickers and the tweeters. Doing the head unit within the next few months.

I might end up going that route then. I just want nice bass, maybe a little bump. Not looking to rattle the truck

It'll do the trick. Definitely sounds nice and subtle. Wish it was more sometimes when I'm feeling hardcore, but whatever. Maybe with the new head.
Went to Best Buy (buddies with one of the install managers), to talk to them about head units and dialing in the amp- they said that they could've made a package that would've been a little bit cheaper and with more power, but he was overall impressed with the kit, especially with the power pack (amp).
