Do you need to know, or care?
I had no idea this was happening. Had I known earlier, I would be there for sure!

I planned on leaving my suspension stock for a long while, but I have a shell and it is not playing nice with the stock leaf springs. And I wanted to add skids and sliders, which is only going to make things worse.

I didn't realize a cap added that much weight, but it makes sense. Would AAL help that out any?

The cap weighs ~200lbs. It didn't make much difference at first, but fast forward a year, and it's definitely sagging in the back.

I imagine an AAL would remedy it. I've also seen others on this forum say good things about the SumoSprings. I might go that route just because they are super easy to install, and I should be able to still use them for towing even if I lift it down the road.

 I've got sumosprings. They do help, relatively somewhat cheap, easy to install, and help with the squat. They did make the ride more harsh though. Then again I don't have a cap either so yours might not be as bad. They help when towing for sure though.

The truck is DCSBTRDOR. The cap is ARE V-series.

Rumor has it the OR has a softer ride than the Sport, which is what I have. So they may not be all that harsh since you'll have a little weight pushed down on them anyway.

Say fuck it, buy them and return them if needed. Cheaper and a lot faster than putting on a lift right now.

Instead of an AAL or Sumos I would look into Dakar leaf pack. I'm running an AAL and wished I saved my money and went right to Dakars. I will be putting in Dakars soon.

Ahh yeah, that's a good point. I think you're talking me into the sumos for now! I mentioned it before, but I'm in the middle of moving and I'm not going to have the garage space to do a lift install for a while. So maybe sumos well fix my squat in the interim.

Don't Dakars require longer shock? That would make the rake pretty bad wouldn't it?

I'm not sure about the long shock. I figure with the weight of the cap it will weigh it down but there will be a little rake.

Hrm...now you got me thinking! I don't mind a little rake. Plus, the rear would already be ready to go when I lift the front down the road.

hah decisions decisions. Take a peek at the lift threads. I beleive the dakars will end up giving you a couple of inches and may, not 100% sure, but may end up needing some shocks or they'll max out pretty quickly.

    Longer than.. OEM? Yes.

Also the 3 leaf pack mentioned above sucks for weight. If you have a shell, don't bother!
