you guys should talk to me about these things. i save people from surgery, pain, and many of the digestive struggles every day, it's my life. although i usually kinda keep it quiet around here. because people need to make some change often and that's not what folks want to hear when they come to a forum for entertainment or whatever. anyway, every case is different and has unique needs. but hey, surgery is always available to those who want it (and you would probably be surprised how many prefer it without even considering lighter options).

back to your scheduled programming! :blahblah:

Nice. Is it smooth or peaty? I can’t do the peaty ones like Laphroig.

I am well aware of Digestive Struggles as I live with them daily too, switching my diet to SCD and Paleo has probably given the best results, Surgery is certainly not something I want any part in, its amazing that people actually prefer to go that route.

these issues are always workable and surgery is always preventable in the context of normal health.

What kinds of things have you had luck with? I also found an OTC pill called IBGARD to be quite effective, its time release peppermint that makes its way into your intestines and calms the spasms.

first, if you mind this then shift to PM.

    second, gallstones come from what?
    .
    .
    .
sludge. so, you're working on that project as we speak and it's not just gonna get better. it may go quiet for some time but will come back with a terrible vengeance if you don't keep your works clean. kinda like your motor. if you have sludge janking up your works in the drivetrain I'm guessing you won't simply ignore it until your truck sputters to a halt.

enteric coated peppermint capsules have a decent reputation in certain circumstances, and seem to require quite a bit of inflammation to chew on for results, and not every GB case is a fully inflammatory one. but all they do is some measure of symptom relief while ignoring the cause: GI congestion and all that leads to it. it's normal by statistics, but not by 'design' if you can say that. if you don't mind just kicking the can down the road then it's a complete and valid treatment. i have used those with folks before as a mild symptom reliever while doing heavier work viscerally to address causes.

the best results i have found for these issues before surgery is actually required is the skillful use of Chinese medicine... they have the strongest cholagogue herbs, which are a category of medicinals that stimulate bile movement. there are no effective pharmaceuticals for this. but you really shouldn't play with most Chinese medicine alone, it's not a layperson's medicine and isn't terribly user friendly. that why folks like me exist.

i could suggest this or that, but without a full evaluation taking those herbs can move your bile and totally mess up your stomach. so, guidance is the key. but yeah, you can always PM me. for real treatment you'll need to find someone local with the skills.

That was helpful for my wife for a few years until it wasn't. Once we reached the "monthly ER visits because the pain was excruciating" stage (lasted a year) then she sucked it up and went for removal. The pain relief was immediate and has yet to return. Just...let's just say that sometimes the time that elapses between meal and urgent need of the bathroom is sometimes less than an hour.

She no longer is up for long car rides if you know what I mean.

I know exactly whaat you mean. I have discovered from extensive research that one has exactly 25 minutes from starting a plate of Hooters boneless hot wings before the need of a nearby facility.
Of course this research was done for medical purposes, and the choice of drink was changed up on different research days, you know, for medical purposes.
