To be fair, if I had to drive in DFW traffic everyday, I'd want something I could stretch out and sleep in too.

Oklahoma is the same way. I saw way more Tacomas in Arkansas last week. They have some awesome off road locations too.

What part of Dallas are you in? I know a great BBQ place if you like that sort of thing and are in the right area.
Also, Steak N Shake is always on my list when I go to Dallas for training. In fact, I wil be there in two weeks.

 

I’m in between the D and FW

 

Oh, the other side. I go to North Dallas near the Galleria Mall. Every time I go there, once I get checked in the hotel, I go get some BBQ for dinner.

 

Just found this odd thread I don't quite understand, yet. Don't know where else to ask this. What's the backstory behind this smitty character? I see him discussed almost everywhere, but he seems to have ended his account or was banned? What happened around all of that?

 

First off, you need to make a Haiku to get the full effect of this thread. Making a haiku while drinking is even better.
Smitty was an early adopter of the 3rd gen Taco, and all started out well. He enjoyed his truck for the first few days, then he had a few problems.
Since those problems he would post in just about every thread made and give his opinion of how bad the ¨Turd Gen¨ Tacoma was.
I never could figure out why he was so unhappy after he posted pics of his new bride, . Anyway, it got annoying having him post something negative in every thread, so the Mods finally heard enough and gave him the perma ban.
Well, this thread is a safe place for off the wall discussions, while staying somewhat in the TW guidlines. If you get invited to play DNT (drunk naked twister) by @DesertTaco4x4 , its o.k. to say NO, in fact its advisable to say no.
