The HDPE was a scrap I already had and I cut it to size on my bandsaw, I believe it's about 3/8" thick.
To stick it I used some contact cement, because I already had some.

It has stayed in place for 6 months on my current skid plate and it lasted a few years on my old skid plate no issues before I replaced the plate.

Thanks. I mounted CBI aluminum skids with greased stainless bolts and used construction adhesive to mount 2 inch x 1/8 rubber fender washers (Hillman) between aluminum plate and steel truck frame.
They'll be mounted for years and I don't want galvanic corrosion to seize bolts.

Have to pull skids to access transmission flush ports for servicing, will be adding a jacking spacer puck.

No that won't happen. Or at least I've done it that way and the truck didn't shift. Now my tire shop rotates them for free, so I don't brother anymore
