Fuse tap on the 10A EFI fuse slot with switch routed to the cabin? Kinda like this?

Thanks for your reply. I'll verify fuse rating and proceed.

Doesn’t the truck do a fuel pump test or something with the injectors wouldn’t this disrupt the process

Good solutions here guys, and wiring diagrams are always welcomed. :)
That said, I’m more concerned about carjackings as the pros simply tow it away and street thugs just jump out of nowhere at a stop/light.
Mr, Smith & Wesson may offer some help with that but at a higher risk of injury, so looking for a better solution to that. :/

I’ve been thinking about that too. Only thing I’ve thought of is to leave the vehicle in 4-Low so towing is a bit more difficult. As for the carjacking, something that would be proximity enabled, much like the FOB, disabling the vehicle. I myself am most interested in when I leave my vehicle in a secluded location whether that be in woods or in a city.

There’s probably a way to rig up a latching blue tooth device. Phone connected…. Circuit closed. Phone not present… circuit open. Manual switch bypass for ‘whatabouts’.

Great idea, unfortunately for me I usually have my phone mounted on the dash. Thus a carjacker is going to get the vehicle with the phone.

Yeah, it comes with its own risks even without leaving your phone visible. Would want the latch to interrupt the start mechanism, not ‘run’ feature. Don’t want a dropped bluetooth killing your truck on the road.

^You didn't need to add the inline fuse. There's no bypassing. That fuse in the fuse tap is the only path for current to flow through the circuit.

Not sure one slot is vehicle fuse one is pigtail there is no fuse in the vehicle fuse just a wire. I didn’t test it but I’m pretty sure if you don’t put the bottom fuse in the truck thinks it doesn’t have a fuse so that’s why I said it was bypassed and I added it back. But if I didn’t need it, it’s extra protection now.

^Remember you're leaving the #1 slot open, not jumpering across pins A and B. If there's no fuse in the #1 slot, then current can flow only through the #2 slot:

Make sure fuse #2 and your inline fuse are the same rating as the vehicle's original fuse.
