Curious if anyone on here has a 3rd gen limited with BFG All-Terrain's. I've got close to 50K miles on my 2016 and will be needing new shoes in the next couple months.

Post pics if you've got em. Thanks!

Take it easy dude...was just looking to see what the All-Terrain's looked like on a pair of the new Limited wheels. I've been searching and I figured a few guys on here might have this done already.

Seriously! What do think forums are for? You don't have to read or reply to every post. Take a pill dude.

Here is mine to help you open your wallet. Personally I love the look. Mine is not limited but liked the wheel style anyway.

Thanks! I think that has sold me on them...looks sharp.

I drive across LA twice a week...from Baton Rouge to Lake Charles and back. The Michelin's that came with the truck have been great, I just want something a little more rugged looking once these are done.

Great looking truck. The wheels and tires look good too.

I hear people say that, but what is it that takes getting used to? How does that weight translate to the driver's experience? I'm gonna have to replace my OEM Wranglers eventually, and planned on the BFGs because of all the good things I've heard.

I had KO2's on my '02 Tundra and I loved them. Once my Michelins have no life I will be going to KO2's. As far as "getting used to" I have no idea it's just a different tire and I never felt any drag or sluggishness associated with the them while driving on them for years.

You may or may not feel this, but the suspension was designed to run oe rims/tires.
With heavier tire, you're introducing more unsprung weight to be carried by stock dampeners, you may feel jarring sensation at city and highway speeds every time you run over a man hole cover. It'll probably wear your shocks out prematurely too, I can't quantify how much faster, but yea it will.

Not to derail the thread, but any chance we could see some more pics of how you did the bike mount on the tonneau?

You will feel even more of the sluggish of the 3.5L. Any rotational mass you put in the wheels will robs the power by the factor of 3 (or something like that, it's been a while since I read the article)

@AverageJoe I just rolled over 48k miles on mine. I have the stock Toyo's and it looks like they will last at least another 20k miles. I'm wondering why your michelin's are wearing so quickly....
I have a set of Michelin LTX M/S2 on my 'ol 99 4Runner and they have 40k miles and they look like they still have 2/3 thread on them.

Wanna show us how much thread you really have left?

As long as you keep a good eye at your tires(clean and moist), inside and out, today's tires last 60-70k+ miles with a good alignment.

@James_Bond I should have clarified more. I don't have any pics right now, but the Michelin's probably still have another 20-25K in them, even after 46,000 miles. They're excellent tires. 75% of the driving I do is interstate, and they've held up as they should. I'd just like to make the move to something a little more tough. A friend of mine in town has BFG AT's on his Tacoma, and after seeing them I decided to go with the Rugged Terrain. I just don't think I need something as rough as the All-Terrains. Regardless, I know BFG makes a good product.

Go to Mavis and NEGOTIATE. They will even though they said they shouldn't. Bring something in to show that you shopped online and they will beat it. At the very least, get free mounting and installation.
