IF you debadge/remove decals from a third gen AND add aftermarket wheels........IS THERE ANY WAY to tell the different models (off road, sport, SR5 ,SR) apart from pictures ONLY????

Kind of an odd question. Without any mods:

    OR will have black fenders.

Sport will have hood scoop and paint matched fenders.

SR5 will have paint matched fenders.

    OR should have Bilstein suspension.

    SR will not have fenders.

Sport is color match fenders too. part of why I went with the 18 OR instead of sport (plus all the other goodies)

    Armedine answered my question......THANKS!!

Bold faced is for emphasis only and words weren't random.

Often see posts asking for pics of (blank) color (blank) model.........wouldn't any model look just about the same for comparisons sake?? Yes, there are subtle differences, but not like an access cab compared to crew cab. Or third gen vs. 1st gen.

It was just a simple request.

I'm just messing with you, man - though, I think most of us are capable of reading one sentence without needing bold points. :D

If you take a look at the interior you can usually tell if it's a TRD or not, SR will not have fog lights and a black front bumper, Limited have more chrome bits other than just badges.

Are you trying to build a clone?

If that was the case reply’s would answer the questions asked on a more frequent basis and be more accurate when doing so. Sometimes the details of what one is asking is important to the person posing the question.

Sports have Hitachi shocks, not Bilstein.

*Edit* Pic is one I found here.

Is that related to 3rd gen? My 2nd gen sport came with Bilstein. It is a 4x4 though, dunno if that matters.

The 3rd gen sports have the Hitachi's regardless.

SR is the only one with a beard. It has a black bumper, a throwback to the days when trucks didn’t color match everything like cars.

A true throw back would have a chrome front bumper, and maybe be rockin bullet points where the fogs would mount on a TRD.

As many have pointed out, suspension is the big tell. Especially between TRDs:
Sports have the black and blue, OR has yellow and blue, and the pro is the shot best of em all =].
