Sorry I missed this. Always check the dipstick and look closely. The .2 I still recommend. I tend to buy everything 5qts so the remaining second 5qt can be used on the next change etc.

IGNORE just found the easier to read black on white version.

I just printed out your one-page guide, thank you. I'd like to make a suggestion; the print is VERY intensive on the BLACK ink or toner. Perhaps a black on white version instead of the white on black. I have not absorbed the contents yet, but the black is making it hard to see with my old eyes as well. Your first post linking to videos is great.

That's the fill plug for the transmission. I'm not 100% sure where it is on the 2.7 but it should be on the black pan just below this. There should be a drain and a check bolt.

Changed my oil today and even though I thought I knew what the torque specs were for the plug, housing and drain were, I couldn't find it in the manual anywhere.

Good thing I have this printed off. :D

    Much appreciated, @Soft Taco!

20,000 miles coming up. What are the easy wins for this incompetent wrencher? I can / have rotated the tires but it was very much a measure ninety times, cut once deal. Are those filter replacements finicky or should I just bite the bullet, buy the replacement parts and get it done? Thanks for your patience, everyone.

If you're talking about the cabin and engine air filters, if you rotated tires you can change those. You don't even need any tools.

If you're talking about the oil filter, you'll need to plan ahead a bit and get an oil filter wrench adapter. A torque wrench is a good idea, too.

None of them are difficult. Check the first post for videos and I'm sure there will be someone around to answer questions if you get stuck. You got this.

2.7 guys and gals. update: art is in progress. I wasn't going to just slap a pro trim on your tracker and call it a 2.7. Thanks for the patience!

Saves money because of improved fuel efficiency or saved labor costs?

A little fuel savings but the single largest labor savings of all the DIYs. Dealerships often want north of $800 for this. You can do it for at or under $60.

Thanks so much for this! I've used it countless times.

One thing I noticed.... there's no mention of fuel filter replacement? Is that not a routine service item? This is my first Taco. I just hit 50k.
