I think that approach angle may be a little over the 30° a stock taco is capable of...

Dude is an awful driver. Based on the hair ties around the shifter, must be his lady's truck...

Just watched this. My guess it was the traction control taking over. I don't think the driver is familiar with his truck or has much experience driving in sand.

Traction control off button. Surprised the recovery guy didn’t know this. Must be new. Mostly older vehicles getting stuck maybe.

Turning off the TC is not straight forward on these trucks. Had a friend with a second gen that hated his because he didn’t know how to turn it off. I had a Jeep then and was clueless as well

Yeah. Guess not a lot of third gens getting stuck, so he’s probably recovering Jeeps and Rangers mainly.

Still surprised he didn’t know about traction control buttons. Cars have had that since the nineties. Must be inexperienced with newer vehicles.

One thing I will agree with, is the 3G Tacoma rear bumper is a full-blown piece of shit. An worse than that.......an expensive piece of shit once you’ve damaged the plastic matrix under the cheesy chrome cap.

Matt said they were gonna cover the cost of the bumper damage. Yeah right......that’s like two months wages for most Americans.
