I just wish I could match both orange tints.. maybe I'll pull the DRL strip and make my own to fit in the slot

 

That's a lot of amber in the housing now. I would think you could run the clear led Drl's but have them be able to change colors like the demon eyes. Just a thought. They look great.

 

I Feel ya. A little too much. If I want to continue the stealth approach...I don't need shimmering orange lenes everywhere.

IN fact, I'm wrapping the reflector to hide a lot of it. I'll cut 3 slots to hit the light channels.
And Props to @fergyz for the mesh Idea. Blacks the bucket out way more..yet still lets a good amount of light through

 

That mesh on the blinker portion looks great!

 

You could make turn signals to install in your front bumper

 

Do you have to light those from the edge? Where does the factory bulb line up? I assumed it was right in the middle of that side reflector. I haven't paid close attention to mine.

 

^ correct. The stock reflector has a single bulb in the middle.
The new lens can be lit from any side to create a more uniform glow.

 

Are you going to relocate the light so that the panel is lit from the end? I'd love to have a solid frosted panel that just kinda glows.

 

Yes, that's the plan. Just trying to figure out how to tone down the bright lens. Either camp wrap, or possibly tint. I'll mess around with it.

I keep trying different variations... testing the function, light output, color, and how it all looks together.
With the main goal still having bright lights, but a stealth look. Not too easy.

Here is what I came up with on the side reflectors;
Lightly tinted, with the light channels exposed for maximum light transmission!




The Amber Diodes I swapped on the DRL board were more of a "Yellow-orange". You could really notice the color through the OEM clear lens(even with it smoked).
Sooo what I ended up doing was taking the orange DRL lens , and lightly tinting it as well. This does 2 things;
1) The amber tint helps darken the color. Now it is a "deep orange" which Is what I was looking for
2) The smoke tint cuts down the bright orange, and matches the side and turn signal lens better.

I think I have settled on this being the final configuration. But who knows I am so indecisive..I'm worse than my wife.

Just waiting on a few more little parts.
Also, I am 3D printing a custom panel/cover to seal the back where I had to cut for the 2nd projector ..it will use all factory gaskets

In the meantime..I will leave you guys with a few teaser pics. Turned out pretty stealth I must say.

Here is how my custom side reflector sits... I think I am going to run some LED's parallel down the channels..




SO MEAN
